Ursula's Cartridges - Utopia District Vaporaise 2024 Set

VAPORAISE 2024 is the first iteration of a new online festival and charity fundraiser - this year for ALS research. It spans 2 days containing over 50 musicians and 10 visual artists and over 20 hours of performances and this year we are fundraising for and partnering with the ALS Society of Canada.

We were over the moon listening to a massive set by Finland's artist, Ursula's Cartridges at this year's Utopia District Vaporaise. The set was pre-recorded for the event that was held in 14th - 15th of December 2024 and it is a cool introduction to the vaporave vibes, a sound that Ursula's Cartridges is known for.

You can download for free all of the tracks from Ursula's Cartridges set here

A2DR005:: Various - Birthday Banger EP [out on AURAL ADRENALINE]

Seems that it was an exciting night yesterday over Portsmouth, with JAKAZiD celebrating his bday setting up a big 'Birthday Banger Crew' online event, featuring acts like Tanuki, Kendo, Spoonin' Boys, matra magic, BLACKALiCE, theotoxic b2b lil slugga, Hadean b2b Gash playin live and smashing it!

For those who missed it, can live the experience on the following Youtube link:

The good news is that a new EP came out during the end of the 'Birthday Banger Crew' online radio event. It's the 5th digital release of Aural Adrenaline, JAKAZiD's own label, and is titled 'Birthday Banger EP'. It features 2 collaborating tunes of Josh along with a good mate of him like Scottish based producer/DJ TANUKI, well know to A2DR label and UK producer/DJ like Kendo.

First track featured is called 'New Day' by JAKAZiD and TANUKI who meet up with their styles of Breaks, D&B and hardcore oldskool pianos. A great result which was long awaiting for the fans as it was uploaded since last year on TANUKI's soundcloud page.
Then, 'Bananas!!' is the second one from this EP with Kendo & JAKAZiD offering a blend of Juke & Hardcore, I'd rather say. Description is hard.. Just let the others on the dancefloor!

100% hot release, maybe unexpected when it crashed but always much pleased to see something new from JAKAZiD.
So all best wished from the Strictly Nuskool Blog team to him happy bday, with more joy for music and remain on a high level!

FIREFOX DEMON Mix by DJ Tony D [FREE DL]

Some words from Tony D about his mix to Firefox Demon

" A relative newcomer to production , but making top tunes and without a doubt one to watch for the future. With a constant stream of quality tunes on soundcloud of late, aswel as a big file of unreleased tunes sent to me, its a real pleasure to mix up this lot. I have enough tunes left over for a mix 2 which will be done very soon. This type of hardcore is my favourite with 4beat, hoovers & synth stabs galore that rolls in a tune with great bass and amens too. Of all the pennywise remixes that have been done lately I think this one is up there with the best of them imo as its simple yet scatty at the same time."

The 13th digital release of Switchblade Digital is out now, driven by its owner Abyss and a sick track in the name of 'Like Nothing We've Dealt With Before'. Abyss keeps on his promising production of burning & killing people's brains with this dark attitude and monster breakbeats!

Worth checkin out the label in general and its digital releases and of course Abyss outstanding effort on his sub label called Switchblade Vinyl, where he had released  2 oldskool hardcore tracks 93/94 stylee on Vinyl
