'United Nation, Three Decades of Drum & Bass' [In Cinemas February 21st - UK]

Do you remember Terry Turbo the indispensable promoter and main man behind One Nation?
Well even though the last years he's into the new role of an Actor & Producer, that doesn't let him forget his roots, his passion and his commitment to the evolution of the movement he represented and was highly involved.
This time he decided to make a film paying homage to the movement that grew and it's still receiving huge exposure worldwide.
'United Nation, Three Decades of Drum & Bass' is the title of the forthcoming documentary/film directed by himself along with Richard Turner and as the official synopsis on IMDB says:
"...Drum & Bass developed from the London-centric rave scene as an underground movement that rapidly spread across the UK, and then throughout the world. The scene had serious issues with violence and, a sometimes uneasy, drugs culture that plagued its early growth. Governments reacted by bringing in draconian laws in an attempt to kill off the movement. We tell the behind-the-scenes story of what was truly going on, away from the eyes of the 'sorted' masses on the dance floors: the guns, the drugs, the sex, the knives, the gangs and, of course, the artists and performers who, despite all this, advanced the music"

The 50th year of Keith Flint, the iconic Punk Rave King, who was born in 17th September of 1969 and passed away 6 months ago. Still fresh and nobody can easily accept it.
In memory of this great performer, a team of producers have made a compilation album including their exclusive takeover of remixes & covers paying homage to him as well as to the Prodigy.
The album is entitled "Jilted Generations: An Underground Tribute To The Prodigy" comprised of 12 tracks made for a good cause as all proceeds will held to the US based Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

"Keith Charles Flint was an English vocalist, dancer, and occasional motorcycle racer, best known to a wide audience for his work with the seminal electronic group The Prodigy. Beginning as a backup dancer with the group, Flint would later become a frontman for The Prodigy by 1996, lending his appearances as a songwriter and vocalist to some of their biggest commercial hits, such as "Firestarter", "Breathe", "Baby's Got A Temper", and "Omen". Flint's iconic punk-inspired appearance became indelibly associated with the group through their music videos, and almost certainly played a major role in The Prodigy's mainstream success, and legacy as a key influence in the subgenres of big beat, breakbeat, and hardcore dance.
On March 4th, 2019, Keith Flint was found dead in his Essex home of a suspected suicide, as The Prodigy was in the midst of a major world tour. A massive outpouring of grief and tribute from peers such as The Chemical Brothers, Liam Gallagher, Azealia Banks, Gary Numan, Ho99o9, Frank Turner, and many more soon followed. These tributes reflected not just on the major influence and contributions Flint had made via The Prodigy, but of his gentle temperment, wide-reaching generosity, and warmth as an individual, in sharp contrast to his aggressive stage persona.
With "Jilted Generations: An Underground Tribute To The Prodigy", we hope to show our love as well.
Who are we? Just a loose collection of underground electronic and industrial musicians who want to pay tribute to the long-lasting legacy of Keith Flint, and have come together with 12 hard-hitting covers of tracks by The Prodigy to show our appreciation for the man and his enduring influence on music.

A man who needs no introudction to anyone in the rave scene, Matt has been producing and DJing for pretty much 30 years now, and was there right from the start. One of my first rave tapes was Slipmatt at Fantazia, and my favourite hardcore tune of all time happens to be a track he had a hand in engineering (for the record, it's Positive Energy by Vibena). He's behind Universal Recordings, one of the best happy hardcore labels from the 90s, and is crediting the happy hardcore scene as a whole with his SMD series.

UK multigenre genius the man like Goreshit has just unleashed the 7th chapter of his very own successful 'Nineties Rave Retrospective' spreading his unique hardware skills! If I had to pick his best one from this album I'd recommend his 'Bad Idea' while the best of remix would be the one from Breakforce One spitting aggressive breakbeats of happiness.
All in all worth every penny to this amazing producer!

From the wonderful artistic city of Lodz in Poland, the 20 years in the making of production & DJing, Greg Sin Key, returns with his second personal studio album, which can be described as the most complete to date.

One of the best representers of the rave angle of Juke and Footwork is German based producer/DJ, Terrorrythmus, known of his unique style combining strong basslines, trancy elements, immense boucing as well as hardcore mentality into his tunes.
One of his latest and noteworthy releases came out a while ago on his locals Sozialistischer Plattenbau. This was the launching release of the label for this year, but never too late for such intense stuff like this 5-track bang in here.
'Dubcore Vol.16' presents Terrorrythmus offering 5 fresh personal vibes of him, stronger than ever.
Kicking off with the happy ravy 'Something Unreal' turning a happy hardcore vibe into Juke, while 'Sike' is maybe the biggest killa track of the whole release bouncing hard to the bone! Beware of that! On the flipside we got the experimental juke aspect of 'Low Drop', then it's 'Shake That', which is a certain junglistic beast with firing hardcore kicks, but if its not too much there's also another juke amen breakin vibe entitled 'Depression'. That's the right title when a record like this one comes to an end, isn't it?
