Mark joined the show for an exclusive guest mix packed with proper Hardcore slammers, accompanied by an interview, recorded last month in Athens amidst his gigs in Greece for Sunrise Zone & synthessis. Across the conversation, Mark gives insight into the rise of a new generation of ravers and producers, his two Boiler Room sets, and the enduring impact of "Frequency" - spotlighted by Charli XCX and finally released late last year, giving some extra mention to the banging remixes of DJ Jonay and Aries. Mark also reflects on how the "35 Years tour" tore through dancefloors worldwide, his shows in Greece and Brazil, as well as his historic B2B with Leeroy Thornhill last year in Brighton.

FFF (real name: Tommy de Roos) is a veteran producer and DJ from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, known for his high-velocity fusion of Breakcore, Jungle, and Rave. Active since the mid-1990s, he is regarded as one of the early innovators of the breakcore scene and a key figure in shaping its Raggacore and Digital Hardcore offshoots.

Born in Vlissingen in 1979, Tommy began DJing in the early ’90s using two turntables without pitch control - mixing Rave, Techno, and
rare UK Breakbeat Hardcore imports he sourced from local record shops. His early experiments in music production included tape loops, vinyl samples, feedback, and sounds from his sister’s keyboard. A major turning point came when his family bought a PC, and friends introduced him to tracker software - an approach that would define his intricate, sample-heavy style.

In the mid-’90s, he founded the DIY cassette label Orange Socks, releasing his own material as well as music by friends and underground artists met through tape-trading. His first vinyl release came in 2001 via France based Necromaniacs Industry, and from there he built a prolific discography with releases on respected labels including PRSPCT, Murder Channel, Planet Mu, Sprengstoff, Hong Kong Violence, Clash Records, Myor Massiv, Fresh 86, Diamond Life, Future Retro, Straight Up Breakbeat, Blueskinbadger Records, but to name a few.

FFF’s first full-length album, "20.000 Hardcore Members Can’t Be Wrong," was released in 2011 on Japan’s Murder Channel, followed by "Keep The Fire" (2013) and "In Fear" (2016). His most recent LP, "Part of the Order" (2021, Fresh 86), reflects his continued evolution into atmospheric, melody-driven jungle while retaining the energy and grit of his breakcore roots.

Together with Bong-Ra, he organized the legendary Breakcore a Go-Go parties at The Waterfront in Rotterdam, one of Europe’s first regular Breakcore nights. When that series ended in 2004, FFF continued promoting with the monthly Wreck Havoc events, further solidifying his role as a central figure in the European underground.

Since the mid-2010s, FFF has shifted toward more refined and melodic Jungle and hardcore sounds, aligning with a new generation of producers such as Coco Bryce, Tim Reaper, and Tommy the Cat. He's collaborated with Coco Bryce on multiple split EPs and has released on pivotal modern Jungle imprints, helping to lead the genre's global resurgence. In 2012, he co-founded Encounters Records alongside Copacod and Newk, operating from their home base in Rotterdam. The label focused on experimental electronics and bass-heavy hybrids, staying true to the city's long-standing DIY tradition.

Currently, FFF focuses on producing, touring, and running his own vinyl label 3AM Eternal, where he continues to push the boundaries of Jungle, Hardcore, and Breakbeat with a strong DIY ethos and an ear for both nostalgia and innovation.

 Coco Bryce (real name: Yoël Bego) is a Dutch DJ, producer, and label owner whose nearly three decades of experience have firmly established him as a seasoned veteran in the Electronic music world. His journey into music began in 1995 when he first got his hands on a pair of decks, quickly immersing himself in the Hardcore and UK Breakbeat scenes. By the late 90s, Coco had ventured into production, releasing his debut vinyl in 1999, setting the stage for a prolific career that has since seen over 170 vinyl releases.

Known for his versatility, Coco's work spans a vast range of genres and labels, with notable contributions to Future Retro, Rupture, PRSPCT, Fresh 86 but to name a few. Whether through the raucous energy of Breakbeat Hardcore or the intricate rhythms of Jungle, his productions have been always ahead of the curve while drawing on influences from across the musical spectrum. Coco’s music roots run deep, with his love of Hip-Hop, Funk, Rock, and skate culture shaping his early education. His interest in Electronic music grew through schoolmates and regular visits to record shops, eventually leading him to explore Jungle and Drum & Bass. Throughout the late 90s and early 2000s, he became known for his dynamic DJ sets, particularly at squat parties, where his genre-blurring style - spanning Acid, Tekno, and tribal beats - captured the underground spirit of the time.

While the 2000s were marked by experimentation, Coco found his groove in 2009 with Skweee, a genre fusing Electronic beats with Lo-Fi Funk and Soul influences. By 2015, he returned to his love in Jungle launching also his own Myor Massiv (sub-label of Myor), releasing captivating material ever since. More recently, he has delved into incorporating samples from traditional music across the globe - drawing from Jewish, Bulgarian, Indonesian, Greek, and Latin American records. This eclectic approach is part of his ongoing mission to push boundaries, while always maintaining a respect for the roots of the genres he loves.

For Coco, making music has always been about fulfilling childhood dreams. One such moment came when he had the opportunity to release an EP on Kniteforce Records, a label he had adored since the 90s. His love for this legendary label and its iconic artwork even inspired him to draw his own designs for his bootleg Snoopy releases. Coco’s artistic range extends beyond Jungle and Breakbeat, and under his Chavinski moniker he focuses on UK Garabe and House, while under the DJ Y moniker delivers the raw, bass-heavy energy associated with the Gabber and Early Hardcore sounds (e.g., Faces of Bass).

Having played across all continents, Coco Bryce continues to evolve as an artist, relentlessly seeking fresh inspiration and new ways to express his dynamic musical vision.
