"Big Taste" : FFF makes his debut EP on Hardcore Energy

Dutch jungle veteran FFF makes an explosive debut on Hardcore Energy with "Big Taste EP," a 4-track release that blends his trademark breakbeat signature with uncompromising hardcore rave energy.

From the atmospheric breaks of "Future Is Made" to the uplifting-yet-dark rave pressure of "The Key," the EP constantly shifts between euphoria and intensity. On the B-side, "Big Taste" stands out with its infectious footwork-inspired groove and chopped vocals, while "Way You Dance" closes the record with a rolling 4/4 amen workout that perfectly bridges classic hardcore jungle and modern production.

Punchy stabs, powerful basslines and expertly reconstructed breaks make this release an banging weapon. All in all, this one's a confident debut for Hardcore Energy, and one top draw for your  upcoming Bandcamp Day basket.

FFF (real name: Tommy de Roos) is a veteran producer and DJ from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, known for his high-velocity fusion of Breakcore, Jungle, and Rave. Active since the mid-1990s, he is regarded as one of the early innovators of the breakcore scene and a key figure in shaping its Raggacore and Digital Hardcore offshoots.

Born in Vlissingen in 1979, Tommy began DJing in the early ’90s using two turntables without pitch control - mixing Rave, Techno, and
rare UK Breakbeat Hardcore imports he sourced from local record shops. His early experiments in music production included tape loops, vinyl samples, feedback, and sounds from his sister’s keyboard. A major turning point came when his family bought a PC, and friends introduced him to tracker software - an approach that would define his intricate, sample-heavy style.

In the mid-’90s, he founded the DIY cassette label Orange Socks, releasing his own material as well as music by friends and underground artists met through tape-trading. His first vinyl release came in 2001 via France based Necromaniacs Industry, and from there he built a prolific discography with releases on respected labels including PRSPCT, Murder Channel, Planet Mu, Sprengstoff, Hong Kong Violence, Clash Records, Myor Massiv, Fresh 86, Diamond Life, Future Retro, Straight Up Breakbeat, Blueskinbadger Records, but to name a few.

FFF’s first full-length album, "20.000 Hardcore Members Can’t Be Wrong," was released in 2011 on Japan’s Murder Channel, followed by "Keep The Fire" (2013) and "In Fear" (2016). His most recent LP, "Part of the Order" (2021, Fresh 86), reflects his continued evolution into atmospheric, melody-driven jungle while retaining the energy and grit of his breakcore roots.

Together with Bong-Ra, he organized the legendary Breakcore a Go-Go parties at The Waterfront in Rotterdam, one of Europe’s first regular Breakcore nights. When that series ended in 2004, FFF continued promoting with the monthly Wreck Havoc events, further solidifying his role as a central figure in the European underground.

Since the mid-2010s, FFF has shifted toward more refined and melodic Jungle and hardcore sounds, aligning with a new generation of producers such as Coco Bryce, Tim Reaper, and Tommy the Cat. He's collaborated with Coco Bryce on multiple split EPs and has released on pivotal modern Jungle imprints, helping to lead the genre's global resurgence. In 2012, he co-founded Encounters Records alongside Copacod and Newk, operating from their home base in Rotterdam. The label focused on experimental electronics and bass-heavy hybrids, staying true to the city's long-standing DIY tradition.

Currently, FFF focuses on producing, touring, and running his own vinyl label 3AM Eternal, where he continues to push the boundaries of Jungle, Hardcore, and Breakbeat with a strong DIY ethos and an ear for both nostalgia and innovation.

[3AM001] FFF - Control Tower EP [12" Vinyl & Digital - 3AM ETERNAL]

A1 - Control Power

B1 - Cut Bwoy

B2 - Obedience

FFF should not be an uknown artist to you if you're a true Junglist and Breakcore fan and respect your music preferences and this scene.

It's the almighty DJ/producer, who's leading the Jungle/Breakcore game the last decades with exceptional releases over Planet MU, Murder Channel, PRSPCT RVLT, Orange Socks, Criterion Records, Myor Massiv, and many more others as well as his recent offering over Foxy Jangle.

And yet, this new year, Tommy, Triples Times F, is ready to complete his dream and go ahead launching his own vinyl label as he recently mentioned over DJ Mag, thus he has set up 3AM Eternal a name that's certainly reloads your memory to the KLF days and that classic '89 anthem. The first release of 3AM Eternal goes officially out on 8th May on a limited 12" Vinyl and wouldn't be anyone else behind, than the head honcho of the label.

So we're dealing with a fresh 3-Track plate of Hardcore Jungle vibes delivered by FFF.

Kicking off with the self-titled track of this EP, which is a junglistic vibe with tough amen breaks, clash vocals while on the flipside 'Cut Bwoy' is a hardcore driven frenetic piece of jungle. Closing with 'Obedience' which goes real deep into the ethos of this first junglistic amazing release.

In overall, these are three vibes that breath the Jungle climate and at the same time each one of them offers something unique.

Top score by FFF on his debut of his new label. You don't want anything else more to show your support. Totally recommended.

7TH 12015:: FFF & Coco Bryce - Double Dragon EP (Limited Edition 12" Vinyl)

A1. FFF - The Return

A2. FFF - Krisp Biscuit

B1. Coco Bryce & FFF - Double Dragon

B2. Coco Bryce - The Mother Goddess

Two brothers in crime join the forces and offer the "Double Dragon EP" out on a limited number of 12" copies on 7th Storey Projects. Coco Bryce meets FFF and the Dutch Junglist flag remains on a high level! This EP is totally recommended to every Jungle head out there who respects this music til now. Four astonishing tunes inside and I'd personally stick to the self titled tune, which marks a serious new junglistic killer as my main favourite from there.
The Dutch badboys keep on their successful series of releases from Coco Bryce imprint Myor Massiv to this fresh 4track weapon here, following ideally Coco Bryce personal debut vinyl release some months ago on the label.

MURCD-039:: FFF - In Fear [Pre-Order CD - Shipping starts from July 1]

Artwork by http://rtaysom.tumblr.com

This is a good example when we're talking about a strong music relationship & chemistry between the label and the artist, never giving it up and getting an even better release each time.

The established Dutch badman TRIPLE TIMES F (a.k.a. FFF) returns to Japanese label of disaster, MURDER CHANNEL offering a harsh which can also be described as raggacore release, setting a major amen alert all around the globe!

'In Fear' is the title of his new personal and long awaited album by Tommy, who's running an excellent year of various releases, gigs and top work with a great result!

This album consists originally of 11 tracks, 9 original versions by Tommy and 2 remixes by Japanese act Cycheouts Ghost, which is always close to the label and what Tommy does.

These 2 remixes are available to the CD version of the album only, which is more than outstanding, as Russell Taysom has done an absolutely astonishing artwork, packed by Die's skills (Ketchuparts).

Entering some highlights off the album sounds, you can notice Tommy's well known 'No Hope', 'Proved Yourself' and 'Amen Soldier' (both of them originally released in 2013 'Keep The Fire' album) getting a damaging 180bpm rework, and all these three 2016 versions are totally sick. Worth to mention that, Cycheouts Ghost undertake 'Amen Soldier' following a 175bpm Jungle tip.

'Run Like A Fool' is the slowest original featured tune by Triple Times F, which is a dark ragga dub breaks masterpiece. My mind is still lost inside this mental of a tune...

'North' and 'Murderous & Vicious' were the first displayed tunes off this LP over Soundcloud, people heard them, loved them and have been waiting for this day to come.

Breakcore massive and this is the new original sound of Tommy, strictly for the headstrong, ready to smash many Junglists heads out there!
