"Hot Gush" by Outcry

German duo OUTCRY, comprised of Dave G and ACiDicy, have been active for nearly three decades, building a reputation through their uncompromising blend of hard-edged breakbeats. Whether performing live or in the studio, they've always stayed true to their underground roots while constantly refining their sound.

Their new album, "Hot Gush", delivers a powerful electronic breakbeat experience that should instantly connect with fans of Pendulum. At the same time, it reminded me of Killaflaw, thanks to its gritty attitude and high-octane energy.

All in all, what really stands out is how the duet keep the intensity on a high level with clear flaming productions The album is bold, energetic, and shows that the boys continue to push their sound forward without losing the character that has defined them for so many years.

Available digitally and on 12" Vinyl on the links below:

The third Sauce Direct vinyl is on your way

Leeds based producer Skins delivers another collection of jungle-inspired productions on the new offering of his Sauce Direct series, highlighting both a deep respect for the genre's foundations and a forward-thinking approach to drum programming and sound design.

Kicking off with "357" and its atmospheric synth work with chopped-up amen breaks and weighty basslines, balancing nostalgic jungle influences with a modern production style.
Coming next "Burnin Up" with intricate rhythmic patterns, gradually unfolding into warm pads and expressive vocal fragments that add an emotional edge to the track.

On the B-side, "Heat Seeker" pushes into more intense territory. Driven by relentless breakbeats and dense jungle textures, the track builds toward soaring lead melodies that evoke elements of both rave and electronic music traditions. Inspired by an 80s film, it carries a cinematic energy throughout. And finally the EP closes with a reflective mood of "The Haze". Layered arpeggios, subtle pads, and finely crafted drum work create a spacious and immersive atmosphere, providing a fitting conclusion while highlighting another side of Skins' musical palette.

All in all, this is a superb new weapon of sophisticated hi-energy bangers that won't dissapoint you at all. It comes out officially on 3rd of July and it's available on 12" Vinyl and Digital format.

The "Wu Wei" EP by mʊdʌki

Operating at the crossroads of club culture and sonic experimentation, Czech artist mʊdʌki has built a reputation through her dynamic DJ sets fueled by Jungle, D&B and Dubstep.

Her practice embraces everything from unconventional Techno and Experimental electronics to sound-based art projects and compositions for installation spaces. Away from the studio and stage, she is equally engaged as a researcher, broadcaster, writer, and a driving force behind Phonon Crew.

So, after a long period of anticipation, her "Wu Wei" EP arrives as a 3-track journey into the less-charted territories that underpin rave and jungle culture. The EP draws inspiration from the energy, emotion, and physicality of the dancefloor while shifting the focus toward deeper listening. Its intricate arrangements and atmospheric depth reward both immersive home playback and powerful sound system experiences.

"Made with support of homies back in Minsk, Belarus, and dedicated to noone else than the Kru, alongside the forever calling nostalgia for the panel'ka vibez, mixed with the basswaves of LE. Sampling w/ Stwone, studio hours w/ Walter B."

#GLOWBUZZ Ep. 014:: Getafix Records 023 with Bad Boy Pete & Aaron Liberator Official Album Mix

Bad Boy Pete opens his life life on the recent episode of #GLOWBUZZ presented by GLOWKiD. This episode is celebrating the 23rd anniversary of his very own imprint, Getafix Records.

"Never really wanted this project framed around personalities. More interested in records and scenes existing in their own right. Strange how memories, records, pirate tapes and old flyers slowly became historical documents somewhere along the way while the scene itself keeps mutating into new forms." - BAD BOY PETE

Rory Hoy - Smooth / Orchestral Thinking

Rory Hoy is back on Diesel Recordings with a fresh instalment. His 2-track EP is titled "Smooth Orchestral Thinking" and it's one of the essential picks of this week.
The A-side, "Smooth," channels an early ’90s rave-inspired breakbeat style with a forward-looking edge, while the B-side, "Orchestral Thinking", guides listeners toward a more cinematic club atmosphere. Introducing Flipside Mag

We are chuffed to see new entries within the scene, dealing with cool articles and features. When it's about a hard copy publication then our excitement gets doubled.

Introducing you Flipside. A printed, full-color fanzine dedicated to the Łódź rave scene, as I personally describe this city as the 'Nu-Rave capital'. The publication focuses both on its history and its current shape. A must-have for collectors and fans of rave culture.

"Why print? Because paper has a soul. Because a physical magazine doesn’t disappear overnight like a website forgotten after a decade. Because in 20 years, you’ll be able to take it out of the closet and, with a smile, dive back into the history of sounds that had a real impact on who we are." [Official statement from Flipside - Translated in English]

The very first issue of Flipside is available to buy now. It is a 36-page printed full-color fanzine dedicated to the Łódź rave scene. The publication focuses both on its history and its current shape. The first issue includes, among others, an interview with Base Club, as well as articles about Radicall, R.I.P Danger, Broken Mindz, and Unknown Past. It also features reports from iconic parties in Łódź and abroad, including London's 'Epidemic' 30th anniversary event. A must-have for collectors and fans of rave culture.

Everything there is in polish language, but it is all pure gold and deserves your attention and support.

Take a gander on their website here: https://flipsidezine.company.site/

Up Ya Archives pres. Janaway

British-Brazilian producer Janaway has unleashed his personal 'International Luv' EP, kicking off the rollout with its lead single '50/50 Vision,' featuring MC Tchelinho and Arinola. The single is out now via Up Ya Archives Records - the 7-month year old exciting imprint of Nia Archives.

Serving as the defining statement of the EP, '50/50 Vision' encapsulates Janaway’s mission to create borderless, forward-thinking jungle. The single blends driving breakbeats with the rich character of Brazilian vocal stylings, all filtered through the UK underground perspective that has become central to Janaway’s sound. The result is a club-ready, transcontinental collaboration that connects cultures through rhythm and energy.

The title plays on the idea of '20/20 vision,' reflecting Janaway’s lived experience as a dual-heritage artist who sees both of his cultures with equal clarity. This theme of duality runs throughout the project, expressed through hybrid sonics, shared stories, and carefully chosen collaborators. Its accompanying visuals reinforce this narrative, capturing Janaway with his creative community and highlighting the personal foundations of the release.

'50/50 Vision' brings together two artists who represent the core influences that shape Janaway’s identity. MC Tchelinho, a key figure in Rio’s Heavy Baile collective, delivers high-impact Brazilian energy, while Arinola brings her distinct blend of UK funk and ragga vocal style, adding groove and momentum. Together, the trio craft a vibrant intersection of sound that feels global yet deeply grounded.

Currently based in Bristol, Janaway is part of the new generation pushing jungle into its next chapter. His trademark combination of heavyweight basslines, tight breakbeats, and cross-cultural elements has earned support from leading figures including Nia Archives, Tim Reaper, Sherelle, and Fracture. Known for high-octane DJ sets filled with exclusive material, he moves seamlessly through jungle, footwork, and jungle-funk. Following a European tour and standout performances at Boomtown, Glastonbury, and Outlook Festival, Janaway is emerging as one of the most exciting new voices driving jungle forward.

The release comes out on 3rd of December - available digitally & on vinyl.

Backdraft - Blitz EP

After years of genre-defining drops and speaker-wrecking mayhem, Manchester’s breakbeat veterans Backdraft return with their fresh pummeling 'Blitz EP'. Long-time torchbearers of the UK breaks scene, Paul and Karrie come out swinging with this release, proving once again that time hasn’t dulled their edge.

The title track 'Blitz' is a fusing filthy electro wobble with syncopated breaks, and that classic Backdraft attitude. There’s a riot in the rhythm section, and you’re invited. And this is a dancefloor demolition at its finest. 'Rise Up' takes a more anthemic route without losing any of the grit. Ragga-infused vocals ride atop distorted basslines and glitchy drum work - a true call to arms for bass heads and rebel ravers alike. The energy here is relentless, revolutionary, and ridiculously fun.

All in all, whether they’re melting subwoofers or fusing genres with zero regard for convention, Backdraft do it all with unmistakable flair and unfiltered passion. 'Blitz' is one more outstanding release from South West based Soundsystem Bassrock, led by their main man Paul Bassrock who's deeep inside the game for so many years.

Azo drops the ideal echoes of infinity

The resident dj of Kiosk Radio and very prolific producer, Azo returns with a brand new EP that marks yet another cosmic journey.

'Echoes of Infinity' comes out via London's Manual Smiles, comprised of five emotional, genre-blurring vibes that beam out from the edges of the dancefloor and deep into the unknown.

Azo masterfully blends acid, trance, techno, and breaks across her productions, and this new release is no exception. It’s a highly recommended sonic weapon for adventurous dancefloors.

The opener 'Human Love Language' launches the experience with a raw electro pulse, thunderous Reese basslines and yearning pads give it weight, while keeping the heart at its core. From there, 'First Light' lives up to its name, slicing through the shadows with radiant keys, glowing acid lines, and a hopeful, upward energy. The voyage intensifies with 'Orbit Breaker', which warps us into new sonic dimensions on a remarkable spacey trip. 'Where We Belong' comes up next, expressed by an emotional piano, breakbeats and hoover bass. The title track wraps up the exquisite EP, delivering a full-throttle Drum & Bass energy, guided by a razor-sharp groove and uplifting piano riffs. It’s a feel-good closer that leaves both the heart and the body in motion.

This standout EP is already supported by tastemakers like Dave Harvey, Josh Caffé, and Massimiliano Pagliara. Also worth noting: the next Bandcamp Friday is on December 5th - a perfect opportunity to support this release, among others, with 100% of your purchase going directly to the artist via this artist-friendly platform.

The debut 12" EP by Acid Tamiya 346

A1. Acid eyewater
A2. Acid eyewater (CycheoutsG REMIX)
B1. Kishimojin
B2. Acid eyewater (MISSILE CHEWBACCA REMIX)

After over a decade of underground hardware-driven experimentation, Japanese techno act, Acid Tamiya 346 have finally unleashed their first-ever vinyl EP and it’s well worth the wait. Known for their completely hardware-synced live setups and a deep devotion to MIDI & DIN SYNC-based jamming, the duo comprised of DieTrax and Jaermulk Manhattan bring a raw, unfiltered energy that’s both retro and fiercely current.

This release features the brand-new acid-laced track 'Acid Eyewater,' alongside two explosive remixes by underground icons CycheoutsG and Missile Chewbacca. Also included, is the crowd-favorite, mouth-melting acid track '鬼子母神 (Kishimojin)'.

The 12” vinyl, limited to 303 copies on yellow vinyl, features cover art by contemporary artist Yuya Hashizume, whose solo exhibition in Korea (2024) provided the genesis for this collaboration. The A-side opens with their highly anticipated release 'Acid eyewater' which is a hypnotic blend of acid lines and immersive textures. This one's followed by a remix from CycheoutsG, delivering a gritty, back-to-basics acid house reinterpretation that oozes rave nostalgia while staying locked into the underground pulse.

Flipping the B-side, and things get wilder with 'Kishimojin', a new track making waves for its creative use of human voice acid elements, blending haunting vocal manipulations with raw machine funk. The release closes out with a remix by MISSILE CHEWBACCA, one of the more unorthodox figures in the Japanese underground. Their take brings an electro-disco  bizarre vibe, and totally fitting for the project’s outsider ethos.

All in all, this record is a snapshot of a niche but fiercely creative corner of Japan’s underground techno scene. Bold, strange, and undeniably analogue.

#GLOWBUZZ Ep. 013:: FFF - More Than Meets The Jungle

GLOWKiD has published his new episode of #GLOWBUZZ, coming along with an exclusive interview with Jungle don FFF talking jungle music, records and loads of other interesting stuff.
Plus, there's an exclusive footage of him djing at the age of 12.

Watch

🔸𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐅𝐅𝐅 🔸

FFF (real name: Tommy de Roos) is a veteran producer and DJ from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, known for his high-velocity fusion of Breakcore, Jungle, and Rave. Active since the mid-1990s, he is regarded as one of the early innovators of the breakcore scene and a key figure in shaping its Raggacore and Digital Hardcore offshoots.

Born in Vlissingen in 1979, Tommy began DJing in the early ’90s using two turntables without pitch control - mixing Rave, Techno, and
rare UK Breakbeat Hardcore imports he sourced from local record shops. His early experiments in music production included tape loops, vinyl samples, feedback, and sounds from his sister’s keyboard. A major turning point came when his family bought a PC, and friends introduced him to tracker software - an approach that would define his intricate, sample-heavy style.

In the mid-’90s, he founded the DIY cassette label Orange Socks, releasing his own material as well as music by friends and underground artists met through tape-trading. His first vinyl release came in 2001 via France based Necromaniacs Industry, and from there he built a prolific discography with releases on respected labels including PRSPCT, Murder Channel, Planet Mu, Sprengstoff, Hong Kong Violence, Clash Records, Myor Massiv, Fresh 86, Diamond Life, Future Retro, Straight Up Breakbeat, Blueskinbadger Records, but to name a few.

FFF’s first full-length album, "20.000 Hardcore Members Can’t Be Wrong," was released in 2011 on Japan’s Murder Channel, followed by "Keep The Fire" (2013) and "In Fear" (2016). His most recent LP, "Part of the Order" (2021, Fresh 86), reflects his continued evolution into atmospheric, melody-driven jungle while retaining the energy and grit of his breakcore roots.

Together with Bong-Ra, he organized the legendary Breakcore a Go-Go parties at The Waterfront in Rotterdam, one of Europe’s first regular Breakcore nights. When that series ended in 2004, FFF continued promoting with the monthly Wreck Havoc events, further solidifying his role as a central figure in the European underground.

Since the mid-2010s, FFF has shifted toward more refined and melodic Jungle and hardcore sounds, aligning with a new generation of producers such as Coco Bryce, Tim Reaper, and Tommy the Cat. He's collaborated with Coco Bryce on multiple split EPs and has released on pivotal modern Jungle imprints, helping to lead the genre's global resurgence. In 2012, he co-founded Encounters Records alongside Copacod and Newk, operating from their home base in Rotterdam. The label focused on experimental electronics and bass-heavy hybrids, staying true to the city's long-standing DIY tradition.

Currently, FFF focuses on producing, touring, and running his own vinyl label 3AM Eternal, where he continues to push the boundaries of Jungle, Hardcore, and Breakbeat with a strong DIY ethos and an ear for both nostalgia and innovation.

Flipper - Nah Follow Dem Path [Impact Reset]

Stockholm based producer Flipper has recently dropped his new single, 'Nah Follow Dem Path'. More than just a track, but a powerful statement, this tune combines breakbeats with a deep, raggamuffin influence, while also carrying a message that resonates on a personal and societal level.

In his own words, Flipper speaks candidly about the destructive lifestyle that certain artists are promoting to today's youth. "They glorify violence and easy money through drug dealing, show off extreme luxury, and treat women as objects," he says. 'Nah Follow Dem Path' stands in stark contrast to this mentality, urging young people to resist those harmful messages and to forge their own path in life instead.
"The Swedish rap in the track encourages artists to speak about the good things in life and how to make a change. Some defend their lyrics by saying they depict reality. I get that, but they could also rap about how they would like reality to be, and how to solve society's problems. Extrapolating bad things isn't "depicting reality" - Flipper

Flipper chose to release the track through Impact Reset, a Swedish label that has been a key part of his journey. Sweden, as Flipper points out, is facing a growing issue with youth violence, and he hopes his music can be a catalyst for change. "They were the first label that showed interest in my music when I was starting out," he adds. "This track is a way for me to show my gratitude and make a statement about what’s important."

'Nah Follow Dem Path' is out now available to dtream and buy. It certainly provides a strong message and it's more than meets the eye.
