" This show was recorded as broadcasted live on 7th June 2016 @ Planet Rave Radio live streaming from Athens/Greece - presented & hosted by GL0WKiD.

A special showcase hosting my local B-boy and ragga-hardcore producer ORESTIZ, who's one of the pioneers in the Greek Nu-Rave movement with several releases @ Strictly Nuskool, Hardcore Lives, Dred Collective, Intensive Recordings, Sharkfin Records and a good variety and quality of tunes in overal characterized by uplifting happiness, sick breakreaks and a couple of chipmunks samples!

Nothing more or less.. I've enjoyed it quite a lot and thank you all for the kind feedback, re-lived this 2hr special as deserves to this crazy guy. Top notch!
So this show is kind of divided in 3 parts. First half is a blend of Orestiz tunes by me, then on the second part he introduces himself talking about his story so far, closing with a guest mix of happiness and breakbeats! "

One of the best and established Electronic labels in Greece like V.I.M. Records (Very Important Music) is back following the successful series of V.I.M. Breaks Bronze Edition with its 4th chapter of Oldskool Breaks and the man who launched this series like Motivbreaks!
After 'Be With Me EP', the new installment from Motivbreaks is titled 'Save Me Tonight' providing 3 tracks of oldskool influenced oxygen, amazing female vocals and catchy melodies. Stamatis Kipouros must be the perfect representing producer of this kind in Greece, having escaped from the clear Hardcore Breaks rhythms and getting more mature than ever using new technics and experimenting on new sounds.

'Save Me Tonight' release features also a banging remix from UK's Alt-A who has already been working and signed to the label.

REMEMBERRAVE/MOTIV ... The Story So Far

I had some cool chat these days with Stamatis Kipouros, an established member in hcb & nu-rave scene hailing from Salonica/Greece. The main theme of our discussion was about his story so far so we've started talking about his early Rememberrave project till his current Motiv Breaks days..

" About 9 years ago Vasilis Sideris came to my place and i still remember that day back then when i've made an oldskool hardcore tune and passed it to Vasilis to tell me what he thinks.
He absolutely liked it and that time he kept on visiting more often my home.

We caught up together doing experiments in tracks and once we had 3-4 tracks finished, we've set up a Myspace page giving a project name aswell, which was actually an answer and an essential key element that has been missing from our city, Salonica! And this was to make all oldskool clubbers from our city reborn and re-live the 90s again! This was the period when Rememberrave were born.."

" We've started writting music with less knowledge in production technique, but the progress of production helped a lot when we've got connected with different people from Sonic Fortress & Dragon Technical crew, Nefti, Simon Holmes, Don Gorgon, The Flashback Project, DJ Pete, John Kidson just to name few of them over internet rave forums (Backtotheoldskool & Nu-Rave). These people were very important and respected to us and we we sharing the same music passion! Apart from that I was in full insomnia awake all night long studying about music production..

The first vinyl release came out from Sonic Fortress 'Rememberrave - The Golden Years EP' after Gareth & Phil came in contact with RR via Myspace. "

" Our early sound had been upgrading after we bought new equipment like hardware synths & various dj controllers and started playing out various parties in Salonica/Greece with the help & support of DJ Nuff and Koots MC [Polylicks].
That was the time when we met Orestiz and set up our own parties named 'Rip Up The Soundsystem' focusing mainly on the Nu-Rave sound (Hardcore Breaks, J-Tek, Rave Breaks, Future Jungle)
Whitetower Digital was born.. Various releases from the label where given on free download and some others where available on ravedownload.com or chemical records net store. "

" After a long break we decided to change the project's name to MOTIV cos we've felt it was a bit stupid keeping that RR cos it was inappropriate as a name , alongside seeing that we've been supported by various european countries like UK, Poland and Germany so we wanted to offer something fresh and new to our vibes surrounded by oldskool, dnb, breaks and house, and covering Nuskool Breaks sounds!

MOTIV switched to MOTIVBREAKS from now on driven by myself as a self project and experimenting on different kinds in Breaks genre.
I'm already signed to an established Greek label like VIM Records. And the first release from there is titled BE WITH ME-RELEASE ME[VIM BREAKS BRONZE CAT NUM.001] "





The latest release from White Tower Digital is a past EP including tracks from Rememberrave made around mid00s and is a pretty gem in their own history & Nu-rave scene in general. Stamatis mentioned few words about it sayin:

" The Past EP is actually a kind of mini-compilation of the very first hardcore breaks project from me & Vasilis, featuring tracks which cover the sound of mid '00s in the Nu-Rave scene, just before entering the lowest bpm productions."

Orestiz 'Toxic Tunes'

A great member of Greek Hardcore Breaks scene, like Orestiz returns with a fresh 'bboi hardcore' gem in the name of 'Toxic Tunes', which is available to grab on his fresh bandcamp page. SNB crew is always next to his work as far as he's already involved on 'Strictly Nuskool Vol.1' with 'Ruffatest' vibe and 'The 1k EP' with 'Wake up And See' bomb, both releases out from this Blog and various stuff also on Intensive Recordings and Hardcore Lives Records.
Unique skills and tons of talent coming out from his hardcore brain! Total respect and proudly greek spirit, Orestiz has put his own character to the Nu-Rave scene all over these years!

'Toxic Tunes' was given 1st exclusive airplay on my radio show some days ago, with a great responce from the crew heard it for the very first time!

VIMBREAKSBRONZE01:: MOTIV - Be With Me EP [out on V.I.M. Records]

An established electronic label from Greece like Very Importan Music Records (V.I.M.) has launched a new series of Bronze Edition releases focusing on oldskoolish Rave & Jungle Breaks from various producers in the scene. First release comes from greek act MOTIV offering two dancefloor rave breaks tracks (133 bpm) step on his well know stylee and dressed up with chilled unique atmosphere perfectly for the night.

 'Be With Me EP' is the title of the release which is out now featuring two tracks in the name of 'Be With Me'  and 'Release Me'.. Just let yourself moving on this galaxy of deep emotions and oldskool memories. Motiv knows how to do it and V.I.M how to control your electronic desire!

Paul Cronin 'In Tha Party EP' [DRED COLLECTIVE]

Rinse out Captain!

Paul Cronin is rushing since the day he started producing. One of the leaders & tune machines in the Nu-rave scene, based in Leeds, UK returns on his personal EPs this time on a friendly and hardworkin label like London's underground Dred Collective.

In Tha Party EP is a 5track release with uplifting elements and Captain Cronin more 'musically mature' than ever! All this music dish is dressed up with an amazing artwork, which will make you stuck for few minutes, staring it.

'Hold It' is the entry to the Rave world of this EP while 'Juxtapose' melodies and hot stabs are seriously sick! Third track of the EP ('In Tha Party') is a collaboration between Paul & Firefox Demon. FD is a new producer in the scene and great oldskool & nu-rave fan. His tunes are already outstanding and so good to see a such a mental result driven from both of them.

'Reverbarate's Class' steps on Cronin's frenzy skills and the rave war is still active!

Last tune 'You Gotta Find The Light' is remixed by Greek badboi Orestiz, one of the most talented hardcore breaks producers in the scene, who deserves your attention.

The original tune is a free download track from Cronin's soundcloud page [https://soundcloud.com/paulc9898/you-gotta-find-the-light] and Orestiz gives that bboi funky pepper to it! Excellent!

Seems hard to me to rate this release as i've been listening to it several times while doing this post and I DO love all tracks one-by-one. So is it 8/10 ? 9/10? 10/10?

Whatever, the main thing is that its coming out from true & pure guys in the scene so needs your kind support!

"TOP 10 OF THE WEEK" by GL0WKiD's Generation X [RadioShow] @ Planet Rave Radio (02DEC. 2014)

This week's showcase was totally Nu-Rave once again featuring fresh, promo, oldies and totally banging tunes in general covering from Hardcore Breaks to Jungle vibes!

Starting up with number 10 and a deep intelligent tech roller like 'The Age of Aquarius' from the Greek producer AlexBreako (owner of Criterion Records). This tune will be out on the greek nu-rave label White Tower Digi in about 2 weeks from now. Moving next to number 9 and a temasoooo piano breaks remix from established hcb act Neurygma on DJ Wislov's original track 'Dragonfly' part of the Dragonfly EP out now on www.sonicfortress.com. Dig this one 5 essential tunes inside this release! Number 8 is owned to a talented Junglist like Msymiakos from Norway, who has also some greek roots and a BIG Amen Tribute to the legendary bouzouki musician Giorgos Zambetas from Greece. 'Δώστε μου ενα Αμην' is translated in greek like 'Give me an Amen'. Sick really and great result using some bouzouki and Zambetas vox samples. Get into it! Going to number 7, but remaining to this kind of Greek spirit as Motiv (GR) deliver a sensational d&b gem like 'Come Alive', which takes a 140 dopeness by Orestiz. Watch out the drop on this one! 

 USBS, after entering the top 6 remixes on DJ Fat Controllers 'In Complete Darkness Remix Contest', he's focusing on the hard work, preparing some forthcoming stuff for Hardcore Lives Records. One of them is 'Electrotronic' which was featured on 11th November's GenX show and now 'Free' is a new promo of him and also an uplifing roller, which will set you freeee and reach you up to the sky! Number 5 is a 6yr old tune like 'Make a Move' from Motiv's ex project called Rememberrave, which was the pioneer act in the hcb genre in Greece along with Orestiz. Props to Stam, Vasilis and Orestis and every local spirit, who's feeling it!

Number 4 is a mental jungle anthem like 'All of a Sudden' from Canada's junglist DJ Rolling Paper aka DayLife905. Class vibe!! Number 3 is dedicated to a well known Nu-Rave tune machine, captain Paul Cronin who's style is getting bigger day by day and C'mon GOOOOO..ya names not down..everybody in the place! Sick mashupin! In other words it's a fresh dish coming out from Paul's kitchen with a strict rule to dance ONLY.

Last 2 tunes to display come from one of the most respected, established and talented producers/djs and members in the Nu-Rave scene, the man like Nefti from Poland who's style is unique and adorable really! And...Anyone wondering who that Rave Force is? Well..a kind of a more Hardcore Breaks aspect from Nefti..

- " Cos Music is my Life" can be a perfect question-answer to the dancefloor! Massive tunes that are stuck to head & heart!!
