[JEDI 23] Rave 2 The Grave - Return Of The Vibe [Available To Purchase Now From Jedi Recordings!!!]

A1 - Give A Little Love.

A2 - Scratch Samples.

B1 - NRG.

B2 - Scratch Sample.

Jedi Recordings joins forces with legendary breakbeat, happy hardcore label, Stormtrooper Recordings to celebrate their 25th year anniversary with the unveiling of Rave 2 The Grave's 'Return Of The Vibe' single. Perfectly capturing that pivotal 1992 rave era, it's time for Rave 2 The Grave take us back to the oldskool...

We are first introduced to a proper hands-in-the-air, piano anthem with 'Give A Little Love' which incorporates iconic Lisa Stansfield vocals with crunching breaks, contemplative piano melody and thundering breaks. The track blindsides us with it's melancholia tinged first third, before unleashing a jaw-dropping, amen fuelled stab-fest of a drop midway. This one's gonna have dance-floors exploding for sure!!!

The flipside, 'NRG' follows a similar path as it's companion piece with it's focus on pianos, rolling breaks and instantly recognisable rave diva vocals (Bby D anyone?). The 1992 vibe is amplified even further by the inclusion of a deep, bleepy stab pattern combined with an abrasive hoover section that'll get all air-horns and whistles blaring in the place.

As if all this wasn't enough to convince you, then the 12" comes equipped with bonus scratch samples, as featured on both tracks for all you turntablists to cut up and compliment your sets with.

There appears to be a resurgence in all things oldskool hardcore at present, and Rave 2 The Grave's contribution to this rave movement cements just what makes oldskool just as compelling in 2019 as it was 27 years ago. Don't delay! Order today!!!

[JEDI 21] DJ Jedi - Rebel Alliance EP [Pre-Order Your Digital And Limited Edition 12" Vinyl Now!!!]

A1 - Keezee - Into The Depths.

A2 - Breakbeatscientist - You're Really Scaring Me.

B1 - Worldwide Epidemic - Curious.

B2 - DJ Jedi - Feel It.

After a short period of inactivity the mighty Jedi Recordings are back with another fine selection of breakneck beats and deep bass with the release of the 'Rebel Alliance EP' on 12" vinyl and digital formats. Featuring contributions from junglist extraordinaire Keezee, the King of contemporary jungle techno, Worldwide Epidemic, Jedi Recordings very own head honcho DJ Jedi and some geezer called Breakbeatscientist (???), it is time to join the resistance and get immersed in the music....

First off the mark we have an exquisitely deep and atmospheric slice of jungle from Keezee, whose 'Into The Depths' expertly marries 1994 drum & bass staples, soaring female vocals and a pounding 808 bassline, with spine-tingling, choral pads and stirring strings which positively envelope you it's glacial aura.
We are then introduced to the Breakbeatscientist's  1993 themed, dark amen track, 'You're Really Scaring Me', which sets out to lure in the listener with it's uplifting introductory melody, before unleashing a twisted, evil synth riff and pitch black drop peppered with horror-flick style, slasher victim dialogue.

The flip-side sees Worldwide Epidemic deliver a majestic piece of jungle techno synthesis with 'Curious', which leads the listener to the light with it's utilisation of deft piano melodies set to a 4/4 kick-drum backbone driven by crisp rolling breaks and soothing bass pulses.
The driving force behind the label, DJ Jedi himself drops his own breakbeat hardcore magnum opus with 'Feel It', a track which combines melancholic piano notes with rugged, 1992 style breaks and bass and a stab-riff fuelled drop that will be guaranteed to get all hands in the air.

The 'Rebel Alliance EP' marks a coming of age for Jedi Recordings with it's 21st release, and perfectly showcases the labels quest for bringing you the very best in future rave sounds. This collection is set to become a must for any fan of nuskool breakbeat hardcore and jungle. Don't miss out on this one!!!

The 'Rebel Alliance EP' 12" vinyl / digital pre-orders are available to purchase now from the Jedi Recordings Bandcamp page for £8.99 for vinyl copies (plus P&P) and £5.00 for digital downloads. The vinyl order is expected to be ready for delivery around September 28th and will come with a free digital download of the full EP.

[JEDI 20] V.A. - Hardcore Unity EP [4 tracks - LTD 12" & Digital - JEDI RECORDINGS]

A1: DJ Jedi - Brainwashed

A2: Revert Project - Vivid

B1: Try Unity - Together We Rize

B2: Mac Attack & Skeme - Junos (Armour Mac & Nunny Remix)

One more quality addition coming out from the established hardcore label of DJ Jedi, the almighty JEDI RECORDINGS.
This time it's about a mad 4tracker of 4 different oldschool stylish contributions out on a limited edition of 150 white label 12" and digital as usual.
Featured tunes coming from label's head, DJ Jedi, n a buzzing breakbeat hardcore piano additictive "Brainwashed" while Revert Project proves that he's adorable to the label getting things done right on his "Vivid" sweet liquid jungle tip.
On the flipside, Brighton's talented trio of Try Unity adds a masterpiece of a nu-ravey tune and in my opinion it's the vocals that count on this great combo with the breakbeats.
Final tune is a remake of a very rare 1992 white label known as Junos which is dedicated to one of the original producers who recently passed away (Mac Attack)

[JKF 01 + JEDI 09] Luna-C - Kniteforce Remastered : Luna-C Vol.1 + DJ Lien - R.V.S. EP [Limited Edition 12" Vinyl Pre-Orders Open Now!!!]

A1 - Edge Of Madness.

A2 - Death Of A Psychopath.

B1 - Piano Progression.

B2 - I Know U (D'Cruze Remix).

From it's inception in 1993, DJ Luna-C's pioneering hardcore label, Kniteforce Records has stamped it's unique mark on the history of hardcore music. Right from the birth of hardcore, jungle and happy hardcore to it's current status as premier supplier of upfront, nuskool hardcore with a sideline in breakcore and drum & bass.
Hot on the heels of Luna-C's manic remix of DJ Jedi's 'Here It Comes', Jedi Recordings unveils the first in a series of official Kniteforce Records reissues, showcasing the very best and most sought after tracks on the label on vinyl, with the release of 'Kniteforce Remastered : Luna-C Vol. 1'.

Digging deep into the Kniteforce back catalogue from between the years of 1993-1994, the EP opens with two massive darkside classics from Luna-C. The tripped out 'Edge Of Madness', with it's legendary sinister vocal and the equally menacing and frantically drum-programmed 'Death Of A Psychopath'. Two tracks chock-full of eclectic samplage and fierce energy.

On the flipside we are introduced to the original Kniteforce anthem, 'Piano Progression', with it's deceptively dark intro which soon evolves into what would become the template for breakbeat, happy hardcore euphoria. Suburban Base Records'mainstay, Jay D'Cruze rounds off the EP with his manic, hip-hop infused hardcore relick of 'I Know U' to complete the lineup of an already immense selection of oldskool classics.

All tracks featured have been lovingly remastered from the original D.A.T. recordings by Chris Howell (Luna-C) himself, so whether you already have the original EP's, or are still to pick these up, then this will be the perfect opportunity to grab yourself a copy of breakbeat hardcore history courtesy of Jedi Recordings and Kniteforce Records!

The 'Kniteforce Remastered : Luna-C Vol.1' 12" vinyl EP is available to pre-order now from the Jedi Recordings Bandcamp store for the bargain price of £9.99 (plus Postage & Packaging) and  is expected to be ready for delivery in March 2016. The Luna-C EP is limited to only 200 vinyl copies, so better get your skates on before these disappear!!!

A1 - I Did It For The Internet Rep.

A2 - Boom (Leigh Woodly Mix).

B1 - I'm Getting Too Old.

B2 - Spice (Oranjeboom Remix).

Following the untimely passing of Back To The Oldskool forum regular, JSA Records owner and staunch raver, Neil Miller, aka DJ Lien in January Jedi Recordings in conjunction with Paranoid Recordings have chosen to commemorate his memory with the release of 'The R.V.S. EP' on 12" vinyl. Featuring four exclusive DJ Lien tracks on their first appearance on vinyl, and with all proceeds of the EP going towards Neil's favoured charity, the Royal Voluntary Service.

'The 'R.V.S. EP' kicks off with a slice of deep and spaced out jungle with Lien's 'I Did It For The Internet Rep' mix of a darkly euphoric, 1992 hardcore classic (to give you a clue, it features a 'dancing clown'!). Up next we are introduced to 'Boom (Leigh Woodly Mix)', a vigorous blend of 1992-style breaks, vintage TV dialogue and massive buzz-saw bassline to rattle your bass bins.

DJ Lien's last ever track, 'I'm Getting Too Old', which was due to be entered into the Back To The Oldskool / Its-All-About-Oldskool track making competition in January, opens up the B-Side in oldskool jungle fashion with frantic breakbeat edits, a killer, subsonic bassline and flashes of mentasm stabs to boot . Lien's tearing 'Orangeboom Remix' of DJ Infection's 'Spice' bookends the collection perfectly by delivering a fierce salvo of junglistic breaks and sci-fi flick samplage.

In spite of the sad news of the passing of an oldskool (and nuskool) legend, it is safe to say that the spirit of Neil Miller/DJ Lien will live on through his music for years to come.

DJ Lien's 'The R.V.S. EP' 12" vinyl is available to pre-order now from the Jedi Recordings Bandcamp store for the bargain price of £7.99 (plus Postage & Packaging) and  is expected to be ready for delivery in April 2016. The 'R.V.S. EP' is limited to 100 vinyl copies only, so better get your skates on before these disappear!!!

[JEDI 008] DJ Jedi - Here it Comes / Utopia [Pre-Order Your Digital And Limited Edition 12" Vinyl Now!!!]

A - Here It Comes (Luna-C Remix).

B1 - Here It Comes.

B2 - Utopia.

After a highly productive year of supplying the hardcore masses with five huge releases, the DJ Jedi unveils his latest entry to the Jedi Recordings discography, the 'Here It Comes / Utopia' single. A 1992 breakbeat hardcore themed, 3-tracker featuring an unmistakable oldskool legend on remix duties, Kniteforce Records label founder, DJ Luna-C.

Luna-C kicks of the single in style with his veritable rave-roller-coaster of a remix of DJ Jedi's 'Here It Comes'. Featuring full-on thundering breaks to get your feet twitching, euphoric pianos to get your hands in the air and manic stabs to get yer rush on.
Where Luna-C's mix provides a modern, 2015 interpretation of oldskool hardcore, DJ Jedi's original 'Here' It Comes' goes back in time to recreate that authentic 1992 sound. Utilising the samples and techniques used back in the early nineties to capture that original oldskool vibe perfectly. Hard-hitting breaks, energising stab riffs, uplifting pianos and booming bass, the lot. Jedi's 'Utopia' brings the single to a close in a similar oldskool fashion, combining rolling breakbeats and grin-inducing synth stabs before we are hit by a massive, dark bleepy, DJ Clarkee-style drop midway. Though it's not long until the uplifting vibes bring us back to euphoria once more!!!

DJ Jedi has once again delivered the vinyl goods with this excellent 3-tracker, so if you have a fondness for expertly produced hardcore breaks heavily steeped in classic oldskool hardcore influences, then you'll be well rewarded by purchasing this release.

The DJ Jedi 'Here It Comes / Utopia' vinyl/digital pre-orders are available to purchase now from the Jedi Recordings Bandcamp store for the bargain price of £8.99 for the vinyl (plus P&P) and £3.75 for the digital download. The vinyl order is expected to be ready for delivery in February 2016 and will come with a free digital download of the full EP.

All digital pre-order purchases and vinyl orders come with an immediate download of 'Here It Comes (Luna-C Remix)' with the full EP being fully available digitally when the vinyls are ready for postage.

[JEDI 7] Insomnia - Nostalgic / Down To Earth [Official Oldskool Repress From Jedi Recordings]

A - Nostalgic.

B1 - Down To Earth.

B2 - Down To Earth (Jedi Remix).

For Jedi Recordings' 7th release, DJ Jedi has gone all out to hunt down the rights to press an official re-release of a much sought after oldskool rarity. Insomnia (aka DJ UFO and Chris Rossi) originally released 'Nostalgia / Down To Earth' on C.S.I. Records in 1992 and both tracks will be repressed as a limited edition, vinyl only release featuring a 2015 remix of 'Down To Earth' by DJ Jedi himself.

Kicking off the A-Side is the 1992 classic 'Nostalgia' which features rolling breaks backed by a spine-tingling piano melody, deep ebbing bass, a combination of ragga and female vox plus an energising, uplifting synth section. 'Down To Earth' on the flipside combines stepping Think breaks, ruffneck air horns and a junglistic bassline accompanied by a twisting, acid riff and euphoric rave vox.

The 'Down To Earth (Jedi Remix)' adds an additional moody drop to the original's main elements and switches in a 'Some Justice' breakbeat as the main percussive backbone to create an essential hardcore breaks update that DJ Jedi is renowned for. The Insomnia 12" is going to be a must for all oldskool and nuskool vinyl enthusiasts alike.

Insomnia's 'Nostalgia / Down To Earth' is available to preorder now from the Jedi Recordings Bandcamp page for £9.99 (plus P&P), and is expected to be ready for distribution in November, so be sure to jump on these as they are due to sell out fast!!!

[JEDI 6] DJ Sy - Too Much Sense (Original '94 Mix & DJ Jedi Remix) [Pre-Order Digital & 12" Vinyl From Jedi Recordings!]

A - Too Much Sense (Original '94 Mix).

B - Too Much Sense (DJ Jedi Remix).

For the sixth release on the Jedi Recordings label, DJ Jedi has pulled off something special for all fans of unreleased and rare jungle tekno. In 1994 the legendary DJ Sy, more known for his involvement in the happy hardcore genre, produced the previously unreleased oldskool gem that is 'Too Much Sense' in the jungle-techno style popularised by labels such as Basement Records, Smooth Recordings and Sound Entity Recordings. 'Too Much Sense' was played frequently by DJ Sy himself, but unfortunately never saw an official release... until now...

DJ Sy kicks off with some heavyweight junglistic breakbeats with some top little Star Trek FX samples underneath. 'Too Much Sense (Original '94 Mix)' then merges with thumping 4/4 kicks before  unleashing a killer drop featuring soaring pads, an hypnotic techno melody, deep bass throbs and in the latter part of the track, an atmospheric panpipe section. A unique piece of oldskool hardcore history that will be an essential purchase for jungle tekno connoisseurs.

To accompany DJ Sy's original '94 mix, DJ Jedi has provided his own deep and dark 2015 remix driven by rugged breaks and thundering bass and peppered with rave/hardcore stabs and choice elements taken from Sy's original mix, alongside some cheeky sampling of a certain Mr Vandross' vocals. DJ Jedi adds his very own 1993-style touch to create a worthy update to a previously lost classic.

DJ Sy's 'Too Much Sense (Original '94 Mix & DJ Jedi Remix)' is available to pre-order from the Jedi Recordings Bandcamp page for £8.99 (or more if you wish to contribute extra), plus postage and packaging, and is expected to be ready for distribution early September. All vinyl pre-orders will receive a digital copy of 'Too Much Sense (Original '94 Mix)' on payment as a taster, with the full album becoming available once the vinyl copies are ready for posting. [JEDI 5] DJ Jedi - Artificial Intelligence / Earthbound (Remix) [Limited Edition 12" Vinyl Pre-Order + Digital Release!]

A - Artificial Intelligence.

B - Earthbound (Remix).

Striking while the iron is still hot from his previous white label, the 'Do This!' 12". DJ Jedi is back with his fifth release on his own Jedi Recordings label and isn't showing any signs of stopping his commitment to supplying the needs of the vinyl buying public any time soon.

'Artificial Intelligence' kicks things off jungle tekno style, with a pounding 4/4 kickdrum backed by a rugged, layered breakbeat and techno infused stabs reminiscent of the oldskool classics coming from labels like Basement Records, Smooth Recordings and Sound Entity Records. DJ Jedi manages to capture a pure revitalisation of that short lived, classic 1993 hardcore/jungle sound.

On the flipside Jedi remixes his own track, 'Earthbound' and gives it an amen break fuelled, junglistic twist over the original's jungle-tekno flavour. The remix maintains the 'spacey' vibe of the original mix whilst adding an added booming bassline to spice things up and create a perfect blend of smooth atmospherics and roughneck rhythms.

Altogether DJ Jedi has provided another essential addition to his vinyl/digital portfolio to suit all serious hardcore junglists, both oldskool and new.

DJ Jedi's 'Artificial Intelligence / Earthbound (Remix)' 12" is available to pre-order from the DJ Jedi Bandcamp page for £7.99 (or more if you wish to contribute), plus postage and packaging, and is expected to be ready for distribution mid-July. All vinyl pre-orders will receive a digital copy of 'Artificial Intelligence' on payment as a taster, with the full album becoming available once the vinyl copies are ready for posting. The JEDI 5 12" is limited to 100 copies so all vinylists will need to be quick!!!
