[JEDI 21] DJ Jedi - Rebel Alliance EP [Pre-Order Your Digital And Limited Edition 12" Vinyl Now!!!]

A1 - Keezee - Into The Depths.
A2 - Breakbeatscientist - You're Really Scaring Me.
B1 - Worldwide Epidemic - Curious.
B2 - DJ Jedi - Feel It.

After a short period of inactivity the mighty Jedi Recordings are back with another fine selection of breakneck beats and deep bass with the release of the 'Rebel Alliance EP' on 12" vinyl and digital formats. Featuring contributions from junglist extraordinaire Keezee, the King of contemporary jungle techno, Worldwide Epidemic, Jedi Recordings very own head honcho DJ Jedi and some geezer called Breakbeatscientist (???), it is time to join the resistance and get immersed in the music....

First off the mark we have an exquisitely deep and atmospheric slice of jungle from Keezee, whose 'Into The Depths' expertly marries 1994 drum & bass staples, soaring female vocals and a pounding 808 bassline, with spine-tingling, choral pads and stirring strings which positively envelope you it's glacial aura.
We are then introduced to the Breakbeatscientist's  1993 themed, dark amen track, 'You're Really Scaring Me', which sets out to lure in the listener with it's uplifting introductory melody, before unleashing a twisted, evil synth riff and pitch black drop peppered with horror-flick style, slasher victim dialogue.

The flip-side sees Worldwide Epidemic deliver a majestic piece of jungle techno synthesis with 'Curious', which leads the listener to the light with it's utilisation of deft piano melodies set to a 4/4 kick-drum backbone driven by crisp rolling breaks and soothing bass pulses.
The driving force behind the label, DJ Jedi himself drops his own breakbeat hardcore magnum opus with 'Feel It', a track which combines melancholic piano notes with rugged, 1992 style breaks and bass and a stab-riff fuelled drop that will be guaranteed to get all hands in the air.

The 'Rebel Alliance EP' marks a coming of age for Jedi Recordings with it's 21st release, and perfectly showcases the labels quest for bringing you the very best in future rave sounds. This collection is set to become a must for any fan of nuskool breakbeat hardcore and jungle. Don't miss out on this one!!!

The 'Rebel Alliance EP' 12" vinyl / digital pre-orders are available to purchase now from the Jedi Recordings Bandcamp page for £8.99 for vinyl copies (plus P&P) and £5.00 for digital downloads. The vinyl order is expected to be ready for delivery around September 28th and will come with a free digital download of the full EP.

[QPR 001] Worldwide Epidemic - Present Versions Of the Past [Vinyl Crowdfund Reservations Available Now From Music Preservation Society!!!]

A1 - Peer Pressure.
A2 - Ravenous.
AA1 - Pulse 33.
AA2 - Q.I.

These recent years have seen a resurgence in the classic jungle techno musical style, with artists such as InnerCore Project, Fudalwokit, The Wize Guyz, Worldwide Epidemic and original founding father, Ron Wells (aka Jack Smooth, 20 Hurts, Emotional Dials and member of iconic acts including Jack N Phil, Electronic Experienced, Fast Floor, Smooth But Hazzardous, and many, many more) bringing the sound of deep synthesis and crisp rolling breaks back to vinyl.

Worldwide Epidemic has been well known for his devotion to recreating those iconic, synth focused jungle tracks and has appeared on a whole host of vinyl labels in recent years (Criterion Records, Peace On Wax, 7th Storey Projects, Jedi Recordings, Myor Massiv / Diamond Life and Sound Entity Recordings to name but a few). In collaboration with the Music Preservation Society, vinyl crowdfunding platform, Worldwide Epidemic is proud to announce the debut release on his brand new Quantum Projects label,  the 'Present Version Of The Past' EP.

Sounding like it was coming straight from DJ  Ratty's dubplate stash circa '93/'94, opening track 'Peer Pressure' first hits you with a series of monstrous, synthesised pulses overlaid by a relentless techno drum pattern and hard-hitting bassline that'll get all j-tek fanatics moving on the dancefloor.
Up next 'Ravenous' takes us deep into the realms of J-tek with it's use of spine-tingling pads and ascending / descending stab melodies, interwoven into a pounding 4/4 kickdrum driven, percussive backing which soon evolves into a gorgeous, bubbling breakdown.

The flip-side opens to the sublime sounds of 'Pulse 33', which lures the listener in with hypnotic synth riff and crisp breaks before unleashing a heavenly, pad driven drop guaranteed to get all hands raised aloft.
Bringing the quartet to a close we have the cheekily titled 'Q.I.', a track which gives a respectful nod to a Basement Records anthem from early 1994, and delivers it's own 2018, contemporary update on that classic jungle techno blueprint.

Worldwide Epidemic has been consistently producing technically exquisite pieces of music, which not only excels in sonic craftsmanship, but also in dancefloor devastation, and this collection does not fall short. If you love beautifully crafted jungle techno on vinyl, then it's imperative for you to back this release!!!

Pre-orders for Worldwide Epidemic's 'Present Version Of The Past' EP are available to purchase now, exclusively from the Music Preservation Society webstore for only £8.50 for early bird purchases, £10 (plus P&P) thereafter.

This releases is currently awaiting a minimum of 150 pre-orders before being pressed to vinyl, and has 19 days left for pressing to go ahead. If you want to own this contemporary piece of jungle techno then please don't hesitate to get those pre-orders in now!!!

Criterion Records return to spearhead 2017's Summer of jungle with two exemplary releases from Worldwide Epidemic and Fushara & Infest only available on limited edition, 10" vinyl.

A-Side - Found.
B-Side - Horizon.

Antipodean producer Worldwide Epidemic eschews his trademark jungle techno persona to showcase his ability to deliver sleek, and soulful, yet razor-sharp drum and bass with his 'Found / Horizon' single.

Worldwide Epidemic introduces us to the sublime, yet tearing 'Found'. An exhilarating synthesis of heavenly pad sounds and deep bass pulses layered over hard-hitting amens layered with 'Life Could' break edits/ 'Found' delivers a perfect balance of light and dark elements whilst retaining a uniquely positive vision.

On the flipside, companion piece 'Horizon' blends together an intoxicating blend of uplifting and inspirational elements over rugged bunk breaks, before dropping a surprise recreation of the hook from Mental Cube's 1991 warehouse anthem.

Worldwide Epidemic proves that he is just adept at dropping innovative and adrenalising drum & bass as he is at producing awe-inspiring, new-breed jungle-tekno. An essential purchase!!!

A-Side - Fushara & Infest - Infinity.
B-Side - Fushara - The Complete Soution.

Accompanying Worldwide Epidemic, frequent Omni Music contributors, Fushara & Infest present their very own contemporary take on the iconic intelligent jungle sound of the mid-nineties with the release of 'Infinity / The Complete Solution'.

Opening to a series of lush, soaring pads, Fushara & Infest's 'Infinity' fuses deep, emotive atmospherics with fierce amen breaks to create an intelligent jungle masterpiece which easily equals the output of Photek, Source Direct and PFM during their heyday.

Fushara goes solo on 'The Complete Solution' and delivers an equally stirring, yet slightly darker tinged take on the deep drum & bass sound with it's use of rolling breakbeats, subsonic bass booms and electrifying, vibrato-synth notes. 'The Complete Solution' captures the very essence of sci-fi flavoured and cinematic music set to a frenetic, percussive backing.

If you find yourself moved by deep and futuristic D&B then Fushara & Infest's latest contribution to the scene will be a must for your collection!!!

[7TH 12009] Worldwide Epidemic - The Waveshaper E.P. [7TH 12010] The Dark Arts - Volume 3 [Two Limited Edition 12" Singles Available To Pre-Order Now]

After a successful spell of re-releasing sought after back catalogue singles, 7th Storey Projects are back with a vengeance with the release of two brand new, vinyl releases with Worldwide Epidemic's 'The Waveshaper E.P.' and 'The Dark Arts - Volume 3' EP becoming available to pre-order now.

Both releases will be mastered and cut by the legendary Beau Thomas of 1087 Mastering services (aka as pivotal member of Intense, Babylon Timewarp, The Whitehouse Crew) so top quality vinyl will be guaranteed!!!

A1 - Proceed... (Through The Gates Of Hell).
A2 - Graveyard Swing.
AA1 - Obliquity.
AA2 - Penumbra.

Ever since his 2011 self released debut release, Worldwide Epidemic has continually evolved his sound with many a track appearing on labels such as Paranoid Recordings, Long Live The Animals, Kode 5 Recordings, 7th Storey Projects and even our very own Strictly NuSkool label. Fast forward five years and 7th Storey Projects are proud to present the forthcoming release of Worldwide Epidemic's 'The Waveshaper E.P.' featuring four massive nuskool jungle techno tunes only available on vinyl.

The listener is at first drawn to 'Proceed... (Through The Gates Of Hell)', where 'The Waveshaper E.P.' stamps it's raison d'etre by replicating the legendary Jack Smooth/Basement Records sound synonymous with oldskool jungle techno. Soaring pads and razor sharp synth notes converge with rolling breakbeats and thudding kicks to perfectly capture that retro-futuristic, 1993-1994 sound. Opening to the strains of rugged Two Dark Troopers style breaks and pounding 4/4 kickdrums, 'Graveyard Swing' soon drops a series of doom-laden, bell tolls which flow into an immense, sweeping synth melody backed by techno stabs to increase the unease.

Things lighten up a touch on 'Obliquity', as we are taken on an invigorating and atmospheric jungle tekno journey where lush, uplifting pads combine with soothing diva vocals to provide a perfect moment of solitude amongst the darkness. The EP closes in spectacular style with the breakbeat-techno fusion of 'Penumbra', where bubbling, basslines blend with chunky breaks bass-heavy bleeps.

If you have a passion for intelligent techno elements melded with crisp, junglistic breakbeats then Worldwide Epidemic delivers the goods on 'The Waveshaper E.P.', proving that the classic jungle techno sound still has relevance in 2016. So support the cause by pre-ordering now!!!

Worldwide Epidemic's 'The Waveshaper E.P.' is now available to pre-order from the 7th Storey Projects webstore link below for £7.99 (plus Postage & Packaging), and is expected to be ready for delivery at the beginning of July 2015.

A1 - Tim Reaper - Spiralling Down.
A2 - Necrotype - A Certain Bend In Space.
AA1 - FX - Wake Up.
AA2 - Tim Reaper & Worldwide Epidemic - Z Maze.

And if that wasn't enough vinyl for you, then 7th Storey Projects has another treat in store for you with the unveiling of the third installment of 'The Dark Arts' series of EP's. This time featuring the immense talents of darkside pioneers, Tim Reaper, Necrotype, FX and devastating collaboration of Tim Reaper and Worldwide Epidemic.

Tim Reaper goes all out 1993 style junglism on your ears with the frantic 'Spiralling Down' which comes proppeled with intense, rolling amen breaks and an infectiously addictive stab patter before Necrotype takes us deep into the darkside with the menacingly atmospheric 'A Certain Bend In Space'. Which expertly fuses haunting pads and booming bass notes with rough and rugged, junglistic percussion.

Darkcore maestro, FX kicks off the flipside with the sinister cinematic sounds of 'Wake Up'. A track which combines heavyweight half-time beats over rapid-fire machine-gun breaks set to pensive movie samples. Tim Reaper and Worldwide Epidemic join forces to create the immense, amen meets kickdrum driven jungle-techno beast that is 'Z Maze' to conclude the EP.

As with previous entries in 'The Dark Arts' series, the 7th Storey Projects label once again presents the very best reinterpretations of the classic 1993-94 dark jungle formula in order to satisfy the desires of even the most discerning darkcore vinylists out there.

'The Dark Arts - Volume 3' EP is now available to pre-order from the 7th Storey Projects webstore link below for £8.49 (plus Postage & Packaging), and is expected to be ready for delivery at the beginning of July 2015.

[PRMP3014] Various Artists - One Nation EP [Free EP From Paranoid Recordings]

1/ Worldwide Epidemic - Experimental Subconscious.
2/ Skunk Association - Nightmares.
3/ Liam Taylor - High Voltage.
4/ Cronin - One Nation.

Paranoid Recordings present another instalment in their legendary series of free 4-Track EP's featuring both veteran producers and newcomers to the underground hardcore breaks scene. The 'One Nation EP' sees the combined talents of Worldwide Epidemic,  Skunk Association, Liam Taylor and Cronin join forces to forge a heavyweight, tear-out breakbeat collection of tracks.

Opening in a with 'Experimental Subconscious' by New Zealand based artist Worldwide Epidemic. An epic slab of amen-led, jungle-tekno featuring layered breaks, soaring synths, classic female vocal chants and lashings of late '93 to early '94 attitude. If the likes of Chaos & Julia Set set your eardrums aflame then this'll definitely be your bag!

Skunk Association returns to Paranoid Recordings to give you 'Nightmares', which as the tracks title suggests features subtle 'darkcore' stylings, whilst not going overboard with the 'horror' leanings. Twisted mentasm riffs and the occasional, unnerving synth accompany a huge dubby bassline and Funky Nassau breakbeats to great effect.

Newcomer to the label, Liam Taylor drops an altogether nuskool take to the hardcore rave mould with 'High Voltage' by combining heavyweight D&B breaks with jittery percussive elements and an addictive bass melody. As a final flourish to complete the track, Liam expertly  lays down an immense hoover riff rhythm and synth notes.
PS - I can't be the only one who is getting a hardcore Sir MixaLot/Booty Bass vibe off of this track! :D

The one and only (Paul) Cronin bookends the 'One Nation EP' with 'One Nation' in his true signature style. Classic vocal samples? Check! 200 mph amen breaks? Check! Hands-in-the-air pianos? Check! Frenetic rave riffs? Check! Mental MC/Hip-Hop/Ragga/Oldskool vocal samplage? Check! Check! Check! If the hardcore scene had maintained mainstream popularity to this date, then Paul would be the rave Calvin Harris!

If your hardcore tastes span from atmospheric, yet heavyweight jungle to hands-in-the-air uplifting anthems then the 'One Nation EP' has it all! As it's free, you have no excuse not to get on this one!

The 'One Nation EP' is available to download for free from the link below... Play it loud!!!

[PRMP3010] Various Artists - Paranoid Recordings Present - Return To Back To The Oldskool EP [FREE 5-TRACK RELEASE]

1/ DJ Nee - Hammock.
2/ 1st Science - Coming Up Good (Vocal Alt Mix).
3/ Stuart J - Dodge This (RenegadeGenius Remix).
4/ Aike - Dark Chime.
5/ Worldwide Epidemic - Discharge
.

Paranoid Recordings are back in action once more with a mammoth 5-track free EP, the 'Return To Back To The Oldskool EP', which refers to the legendary oldskool forum http://www.backtotheoldskool.co.uk/ and the inception of the hardcore breaks scene which involveded the creative output of many contributors to the aforementioned site. The Back To The Oldskool website released 3 ground breaking hardcore breaks EP's on vinyl and 3 full length free compilations for download between 2001 and 2009. Now Paranoid Recordings pays tribute to these classic releases by reuniting four of the original contributors, as well as featuring brand new tracks from 1st Science and Worldwide Epidemic.

Opening up with hardcore breaks veteran, DJ Nee's thundering 'Hammock'. A track driven by rugged amen breaks, booming bassline, female vocal elements and a gorgeously soothing guitar melody on the drop. A brilliantly composed track of contrasting sounds and energies to get you started.
1st Science drops his euphoric, feel good 'Coming Up Good (Vocal Alt Mix)' next and takes you deep into 1992 territory with classic breaks, uplifting pianos and synths, rudeboy bass, electric stabs and cheeky vocal samples. Crafting an energetic track which is guaranteed to make you feel 'outta sight!!!'.

Paranoid Recordings co-founder, Renegade Genius revisits Stuart J's 'Dodge This' with a 1993 styled, jungle-tekno remix featuring breakneck speed breaks, ominous synth patterns, expertly used vocal snippets lifted from 'The Matrix' and a massive descending stab melody to get those neck-hairs standing on end. All encompassed with bass thumps which sound like the audio equivalent of a heart attack.

Darker territory ensues next with Aike's doom-laden drum & bass number 'Dark Chimes'. With a  huge, monstrous growling bassline accompanied by a 2-step breakbeat and ominous synths and almost gangsta rap, chime notes. One that can be easily classified as being only for the headstrong.
To conclude an already devastatating EP, Worldwide Epidemic unleashes his menacing foray into the realms of technoid junglism. 'Discharge' displays it's Sound Entity/Basement influences proudly on it's sleeve by championing the amalgamation of thumping kicks and crisp breaks with deep techno pads and moody sci-fi sound. I wouldn't hesitate to say that 'Discharge' could easily be mistaken for being a lost Electronic Experience track from 1993-1994.

The 'Paranoid Recordings Present - Return To Back To The Oldskool EP' on the whole is an excellent mixed bag of varied oldskool styles from all corners of the breakbeat hardcore spectrum, and is available to download for free from the Mediafire link below...
