KFLP20:: LUNA-C & REEVE "HOW I FELT ON WEDNESDAY LP"

Some works of art are so complex that it becomes hard to adequately express in words their true meaning and effect. In the case of the latest Kniteforce Records release, the long awaited album 'How I Felt On Wednesday' from hardcore legend, Christopher Howell under his dual alter-egos , Luna-C & Reeve, proves to be just as difficult to justifiably describe.

An outstanding release, something clear off of hardcore this time but delivering a proper hardcore mentality by following the well known Kniteforce mission all over the years!
Christopher Howell reveals and expresses his powerful tones of feelings under the Luna-C & Reeve project. Luna-C meets Reeve on a collab of aggression with emotion, poetry with hard beats, games of heart and mind and so there's a state where Chris provides the listener with what can only be described as an immortal buzz!
Expect some kind of hardcore techno, darkstep, breakcore, d&b-driven and also industrial-influenced vibes made after a 6-month effort and hard work from Chris who describes it as "one of the best pieces of music he has ever made!"

"HOW I FELT ON WEDNESDAY" is originally an 11-track release coming out now with some bonus material on the Executive Edition series, available for 2 weeks only through the official Kniteforce Records store.

Top 4 Favourite Tunes

"Missing Pieces"
Can't compare the style but the idea is worth getting mentioned. This beginning entry reminds me quite a lot of same tactics as in 'THE DAY IS MY ENEMY' album by The Prodigy, which starts with a tune-bomb like the self-titled tune.
This introduction tune in here is tricky in its first 60 seconds, but then turns up to become monstrous hardcore techno killer! Watch out!

''Escape Myself''
180bpm with chopped up breaks and that catchy 'I got to get away - I got to get away'.
Maybe the best representative Luna-C & Reeve tune off this LP in my opinion.

''Crooked Like''
This is absolutely sensational! A 170bpm D&B driven vibe on the right way to travel without moving. Just close your eyes and the vibe will speak inside you by following Reeve's vox!

''Back To Something New''
Back to something Kniteforced, on a regular breakbeat hardcore mission, 155bpm range and into Luna-C latest banging breakbeat productions.
'I had to try something new' dressed up with rushing piano melodies, whistles, feelings and this grand finale of this album is definitely celebrating and uplifting!

BUY THIS RELEASE on the official Kniteforce store HERE as soon as possible featuring also the Executive Edition bonus material for 2 weeks only!

DJ Luna-C - Supaset 16 - Timewarp Volume One

"....The result is Supaset 16, The Timewarp set. The basic premise is this – if these artists were making these tracks today, how would they sound? If a 1992 Acen had been somehow given access to a 2015 studio, how would his track have sounded? I deliberately set myself aside as much as I could – I wanted to be a ghost of a producer, rebuilding the tracks but having no artistic impact.

I have tried to get as close to the originals as possible in every way possible. Some actually sound like I have magically pitched them up with no audio loss – these are the ones I am most proud of. Some differ from the originals because nowadays, you can either be 4×4 or breaks and bass. Back in the day, tracks often combined 4×4 and a bassline, which works with a light bassline, sort of, but absolutely would not work on the modern dance floor. So with some tracks, I had to make a choice which way to lean. It was important to me that the tracks could be played to a modern audience without compromising the original vibe.
I think I have done okay with that bit, the best I could do. "

Read full of his review/blogpost as posted on the official KF website here: http://www.kniteforcerevolution.com/posts/supaset-16-available-now/

So this is the new Supaset 16 with Luna-C dropping a massive selection of oldskool vibes from big acts like Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era, NRG, Fat Controller, Baby D, The Prodigy and many more others. These tracks used on Supaset 16 are remade from scratch and offer much emotion and happiness! Amazing result from a skillful, beloved andf established man in the scene like Luna-C..
No more words as am currently on the 2nd time in the row listening to it.. so addicted!

Press 'PLAY' button and remember that.. He and We never lost OUR HARDCORE!

Don't forget to sign up on the KF mailist list (go to the original KF website for it) as Luna-C is about to give away 24 tracks for free via this mailist list, every week 1 free track starting up from tomorrow!

[KFA70] Dj Luna-C - Almost No Spiders, Guaranteed EP (Executive Edition) [Out Now On Kniteforce Again!!!!]

1/ Keep Coming Hardcore.
2/ Buggin’ Out.
3/ All The Worlds Banana’s.
4/ Hear Me Now.
Executive Edition Track
5/ Fuck You (Because I’m Fucking Angry 2).

Arachnophobes beware!!! Kniteforce label owner Dj Luna-C has not been resting on his laurels since the release of his groundbreaking 'Risk! EP' last month. The 'Almost No Spiders, Guaranteed EP (Executive Edition)' follows hot on the heels of it's predecessor this month with 5 massive tracks to rip up your soundsytem!

'Keep Coming Hardcore' which opens up the EP does exactly as it says on the tin with an energetic hardcore techno backing beat overlaid with classic rave vocal samples to keep the trainspotters happy, and a monstrous, infectious stab riff to get right under your skin. The manic rave energy continues with 'Buggin' Out', which propels big band brass swells, hip-hop elements, a cheeky nu-metal (do they still call it nu-metal anymore???) vocal sample and manic keyboard motif over a throbbing hardcore-tek beat and bassline.

With a cheeky nod to the Invisible Man's 'The Tone Tune', 'All The Worlds Banana’s' raises the euphoric vibes with massive 1992-styled pianos, stabs and diva vocals combined with frenetic synths and pounding kickdrums. 'Hear Me Now' adds a touch of junglistic flavour to the hardcore melting pot, with chopped up amen breaks peppered with strong reggae/ragga vibes and call to 'listen to the drum and listen to the bass' (courtesy of Musical Youth). The track still maintains that 'Luna-C' hardcore attitude with a pulsating bassline and warped riffs aplenty.

Last year's 'Because I’m Fucking Angry' from the 'A Whirlwind Of WHAT? E.P' receives an excellent, mental 2015 update in the form of the 'Fuck You (Because I’m Fucking Angry 2)' remix to close the EP in a manic fashion. Expect the 'Almost No Spiders, Guaranteed EP' to take no prisoners when it comes to soundtracking the 'rave' experience. Essential listening!

Dj Luna-C's 'Almost No Spiders, Guaranteed EP (Executive Edition)' is available to purchase from the Kniteforce Revolution webstore link below, for the bargain price of $6.50 (approximately £4.13 in UK money, so less than a quid per track!)...

Executive Edition Tracks

5/ Empyreal – Winter Is Coming (Dj Luna-C Remix).
6/ Doughboy – Heartbreaker (Eat Rave Remix).
7/ The Timespan – Hold Me Passionately (Demcore Remix).

Kniteforce Again introduces a mammoth collection of upfront hardcore dancfloor slammers for their next Executive Edition release, 'The Recent Remixes'. Which as the title suggests sees 7 of the freshest Kniteforce tracks receive inventive new remixes.

U.F.O. is first up to step up to the remix plate with the pounding trancecore revamp of Anglerfish and Lucider's 'Smashed'. Doughboy's 'Heartbreaker' receives the first of two featured remixes. Beginning with an upfront hardcore update from Al Storm and an uplifting D&B styled revamp from Eat Rave.

Doughboy takes on Empyreal's euphoric anthem 'Forwards Never Backwards Ever' whilst Haze hardtek's the heck out of Luna-C's 'Fly To Heaven'. Empyreal then gets an epic Dj Luna-C makeover for his 'Winter Is Coming' track complete with trance riffs and dubsteppy bass throbs. To close things off, The Timespan's 'Hold Me Passionately' gets a Demcore, 4/4 hard house update to wind things down in an energetic fashion.

To conclude 'The Recent Remixes' contains 7 exclusive and exhilarating reworkings that'll get any rave going at full pelt. So don't hesitate to grab the Executive Edition before those last 3 tracks disappear into the ether!!!

'The Recent Remixes (Executive Edition) EP' is available now for a measly $6.50 from the Kniteforce Revolution webstore for a limited time only. After that then only tracks 1-4 will be available to purchase individually. Be sure to check out the soundclips on the link below!!!

If the recent 'True Skool 10' EP on Kniteforce Again wasn't enough to stave off your hardcore cravings, Luna-C has come up with the perfect remedy with the release of another massive Kniteforce Records CD EP/Album. The 'Back To The Front E.P' by Dj Luna-C himself features three brand new, upfront hardcore tracks and 10 exquisitely remastered, Luna-C classic from the Kniteforce Records back catalogue, namely from 'The Luna C Project', 'Luna "C" Project 2 - Mission Of Madness EP' and 'Luna "C" 3' EP's, all from 1993.

Opening with the energetic piano, and classic vocal led 'I Got This', the EP starts off to a 'hands in the air' start bigtime. 'I Got This' upholds a classic, oldskool hardcore vibe throughout, with a massive, dare I say it, '80's-style synth bassline underlying the breaks which accompanies the more ravey elements perfectly.

'The Light' kicks in next in an upfront, breakbeat hardcore fashion with a growling bass roar, hip-hop effects, rolling amen breaks and a soaring, morphing trance riff on the intro, before a massive one-note piano section and euphoric vocal implores 'do you see the light?'. A hugely uplifting number for the hands-in-the-air crews.

Closing the EP in spectacular oldskool style is 'I Need You', a classic hardcore using some manic, breaks and a twisting. synth line and  luscious piano/vocal drop. 'I Need You' will definitely suit the more classic, oldskool hardcore heads as well as those who appreciate a touch of modern production techniques to keep things current.

[KFA64] Various Artists - The True Skool E.P. 10 (Executive Edition) [OUT NOW!!!]

1/ MC Frikshon & Invader – Venom.
2/ Idealz – Blow Ya Mind.
3/ Radiophonic Oddity – Who Are We.
4/ Empeyreal – Highly Ludicrous.
Executive Edition Tracks:
5/ Idealz – Hiya!!
6/ Dj Luna-C – Bounce Me Baby.

Kniteforce Again returns with a brand new 'TheTrue Skool E.P.', now in it's tenth incarnation' to open 2015 with. Featuring a genre-spanning collection of 6  tracks in the early bird Executive Edition to tickle your eardrums with.

'The True Skool E.P. 10' opens with a new addition to the Kniteforce Again roster, in the form of MC Frikshon & Invader and their genre twisting, vocal driven 'Venom'. It's a hard hitting track which straddles a fine line between acid breaks and trance infused hardcore to great effect, and evokes an invigorating atmosphere in Frikshon's demands that their 'beats infect like venom, racing through your veins like a lethal injection'. Idealz steps into the arena next with the bass heavy, roughneck jungle stepper that is 'Blow Ya Mind'. Laced with rap vocals, rugged breaks and techno bleeps Idealz fulfils his track title's promise to literally 'Blow Ya Mind'.

Radiophonic Oddity offers up the question 'Who Are We'? with his contribution to the EP. A deep, tribal sounding drum & bass number with huge atmospheric synths, thundering amen breaks and a massive acid-trance steeped drop. The EP heads into lighter territory from here with Emperyal's 'Highly Ludicrous' which take hardcore into the realms of fantasy with the vocal excerpt introducing 'his Excellency the King of sub-bass kingdom' and utilises an intricately spliced, helium vocal melody over pounding 4/4 kickdrums and gentle pianos.

Idealz returns once again with his take on hardcore-techno with the excellent 'Hiya!!', which combines growling sawtooth bass, techno-breaks and a massive 'hands-in-the-air' piano melody with euphoric 'take you higher' vocals. And to round things off Dj Luna-C returns with a true to form maniacal hardcore number entitled 'Bounce Me Baby'. An amalgamation of thumping kicks, reversed bass throbs, twisting acid bassline, mental 'Phantom Of The Opera on E' piano section and eclectic vocals (hello 'Family Guy'!).

All in all an astounding start to the new year for Kniteforce Again, and as with all releases, the 6-Track Executive Edition of 'The True Skool E.P. 10' will only be available as a bundle for a short while before only becoming available as individual tracks with tracks 5 & 6 being deleted from sale. The EP is available from the Kniteforce Revolution webstore  using the link below for $6.50 (£4.43 UK money!). Be sure to check out the soundclip for a taster of the music featured...
