Univer from Germany debut EP on 4 The Core Recordings

London's 4 The Core Recordings are still working their socks off during the first months of this new year. A label that's surprising us all since 2018, has now a brand new signing taken from the established school of Germany.
Univer, was conceived as a solo project in the early days of 90s experimenting into production with a relentless use of Amiga 500, Action Replay MKIII and a Technosound sampler. Now it's been almost 3 decades after and 4 The Core have sealed the deal with the German hardcore head for a new personal material of him.

'Alliance' is the fresh 4/4 stompy mayhem extended play digital release that introduces to us the talent of Univer. As it's already stated, there are more releases coming out from him very soon.

The stompy mayhem begins with 'Drumbeats', a track that uses the sample made famous by SL2 for some fast, relentless upbeat action! It's hoovers all the way on this way with some, shall we say 'out there' piano? It very makes you feel out of this world!

'Hey DJ, Let's do it' is a call to action welded onto some European style mid to late Hardcore. Loads of melody on this one to the point it would go down well with fans of Makina.

'Kick that shit' goes for a slightly tougher Euro-centric feel, heavy on the stabs with a bumpy Eurodance melodic riff underpinning the melodic madness and call and response vocals.

'Roll the drums' swaggers into the rave with claps, heavy kicks, a sped up 'it takes two' break and a distinctly Rotterdam style (Think Chosen Few 'Name of my DJ'). The tune phases out with a bit of an uplift to complete your rave workout!

[4TCR - V001] DJ Revive - Just Dance 12" Vinyl EP [4 THE CORE RECORDINGS]

Well-known of his top notch EP over our very own Bandcamp page, DJ Revive is the chosen one, who's getting the proud vinylized debut of 4 The Core Recordings from UK.

With the mantra 'Just Dance', Revive passes the baton to all Nuskool crew of joy to wheel up to the rhythms of mid-90s inspired 4-to-the-floor Hardcore. There's three fresh tracks from him and one remix by Kniteforce legend, Luna-C taking over the EP's self-titled track on a thundering 145 BPM Hardore Breaks tip.
Meet the '95 stompy style of euphoria blended with rave stabs, amen breaks, soaring pianos as well as catchy vocals of ecstasy (e.g. 'Pride'). As ever uplifting, frenetic and musically hungry, Revive proves again his flair for this type of modern Happy Hardcore.

Honestly, we'd take the risk and admit after many plays of this promo, that all tracks are outstanding and of course they're worth being featured on this impeccable 12" EP.

And as we've recently informed, the vinyl copies are selling very fast day-by-day so don't sleep on that. Grab it now for plenty of reasons; but keep the main functional one, which is...Dance!

"This is my life, gonna hold my head high...".

Southwest UK Darkside hero the man like DJ MARK C, is one of those who have spent their life as a cratedigger running a continuous Hardcore Rave passion. A soldier whose soul is still in 1992, a year when he started collecting mixtapes just before buying his first Technics 1200s.

[4 The Core Recordings] Fibzy - Enter The System EP [4-Track EP Available To Download Now!!!]

1/ Enter The System.

2/ Like A Drug.

3/ Summertime Fun.

4/ You Attract Me.

Just in time for the brighter weather kicking in, 4 The Core Recordings and label newcomer, Fibzy present four slamming piano hardcore, anthems in the making, injected with Summertime vibes and full-on hands in the air attitude and heaps of oldskool attitude.

We are first introduced to title track, 'Enter The System' which takes you on a virtual trip through the Golden age of rave right up to the present day, by dropping 1992 era piano stabs and crunching breakbeats, over a cavernous Reese bassline paired with upfront hardcore vocal elements.
'Like A Drug' then steps in to deliver a serious dose of unadulterated euphoria with it's potent blend of rave pianos, rolling amens, electrifying synth patterns and foundation shaking, D&B bass riffs to create a perfectly uplifting musical hybrid.

The amens make a welcome return on 'Summertime Fun', which expertly blends together lush, ascending pads with chipmunked chart vocals to create a slice of feelgood, contemporary breakbeat hardcore destined to be a staple on all raver's Summer playlists.
Bringing our quartet to a close we have 'You Attract Me', which fuses together sweet female vocals, warm bass drones and spine-tingling arpeggiated synths, that'll easily get feet moving and whistles blowin' wherever it's dropped.
If you share a love for the shamelessly ecstatic vibes of happy hardcore along with an appreciation of the rhythmic foundations of D&B, then Fibzy's debut will prove to be a refreshing new take on the breakbeat hardcore style.

Fibzy's 'Enter The System EP' is available from the official 4 The Core Recordings Bandcamp page for £6 in high quality digital format (320 MP3, WAV, FLAC, etc).

[4 The Core Recordings] Amaretto - Living in the 90's EP [4-Track EP Available To Download Now!!!]

1/ Energy Flow.

2/ Living In The 90's.

3/ Slammer.

4/ Uplifting Piano Track.

Continuing on with their non-stop mission to bring you the most uncompromisingly uplifting, breakbeat hardcore around, the 4 The Floor Recordings label are back again, this time with Japanese hardcore legend-in-the-making, Amaretto with the release of the feel-good 'Living In The 90's' EP.

First up to the plate we have 'Energy Flow', a track which expertly rewinds us back to the Glory Days of rave with it's euphoric fusion of rolling amen breaks, iconic vocal snippets, rush inducing pianos and a massive stab pattern which would not sound out of place if inserted into Slipmatt set, circa '93-'94.

Title track 'Living In The 90's' does exactly what it says on the tin by delivering an adrenaline soaked, retrospective rave-fest of thundering breaks and melancholic keys, before hitting you with a dark, manic stab section midway, which brings back memories of Vibes & Wishdokta's anthemic 'Obsession'.

'Slammer' see us return to the happier side of hardcore by utilising a plethora of diva vocals and pitched up hip hop samplage layered over a booming bassline, electrifying stabs ten-tonne breakbeat section to set your heart pounding!!!

Rounding the collection off, 'Uplifting piano Track' sees us immersed in an a melting pot of breakbeat, happy hardcore staples - thundering kick-drums, tearing amen drum-rolls, helium vocal samples hands-in-the-air piano sections and bubbling acidic squelches to boot. What more could you possibly ask for!?

While early and mid-nineties hardcore and jungle seems to be the retro go too at the moment, Amaretto and 4 The Core Recordings prove that the often reviled, yet fondly and devotedly loved genre of breakbeat, happy hardcore is effectively represented here.  If you were a Slammin' Vinyl, Hectic Records and Kniteforce Records devotee, then this collection will be a must for your musical sensibilities!!!

Amaretto's 'Living In The 90's EP' is available to purchase now from the official 4 The Core Recordings Bandcamp page for £5 in high quality digital format (320 MP3, WAV, FLAC, etc), so if you love your hardcore on the euphoric side, then don't hesitate to picck this one up!!!

[4TCR-EP02] Beeno, Stammers, Thibor - 3 Peas In A Pod [4-Track EP Available To Download Now From 4 The Core Recordings!!!]

1/ Beeno - Trip Dem.

2/ Beeno - The Ghostbuster.

3/ Beeno & Khyzer Zuke (Stammers) - In Heaven.

4/ Beeno & Thibor - Thanks.

Hot off the heels of the slammin' DJ Revive EP, 4 The Core Recordings are back with another quartet of breakbeat hardcore belters to set the rave alight, with the release of the '3 Peas In A Pod EP' from Kniteforce Radio regular DJ Beeno, alongside fellow K.F.R. cohorts Khyzer Zuke (aka Stammers) and Thibor.

The man like Beeno opens up the collection with the tearing 'Trip Dem', a contemporary update on that 1992 breakbeat hardcore template which combines 180 mph, D&B amens with hardcore sampleadelica with nuff pilfering from the likes of classic house diva vocals right through to Ennio Morricone's iconic 'Chi Mai' melody.

Beeno follows up with a madcap, four-to-the-floor hardcore mashup of classic '80's paranormal comedy movie clips and uplifting, Jackie Wilson samples with... 'The Ghostbuster', which comes jam-packed with contrasting happy and dark jungle-tekno elements to catch out the unwary raver.

'In Heaven' sees Beeno join forces with Khyzer Zuke for a thundering slice of 1992-style breakbeat mentalism, complete with chunky beats, booming bass notes and a plethora of exhilarating stabs and rave riffs, as well as expertly implemented borrowings from vintage child safety ads and 'Everything Is Fine' vox from 'Dr Adamski's Muscal Pharmacy' LP.

Rounding up the collection we have Beeno & Thibor's 'Thanks', which takes us on a fill-on hardcore/('90's) jump-up jungle assault, where rolling amens do battle with thundering kickdrums, monstrous bass 'whoomps', ragga chatter and Dido (!?). Which despite sounding nigh on impossible to gel together effectively, it works a treat!

The 4 The Core Recording camp comes up with yet another inspired selection of genre-defying tracks from breakbeat hardcore's up and coming elite. If you seek the very best in boundary pushing hardcore, then you need this in your collection!!!

1/ Cry Little Sister.

2/ Get On Up.

3/ Never Give Up.

4/ Rockin Your Body.

4 The Core Recordings and label boss DJ Revive is back again after the successes of the label's first wave of digital releases and his excellent 'The Revival EP' on the Strictly NuSkool Blog's very own freebie label. This time we are presented with four unabashedly ecstatic happy hardcore tracks, coming straight outta the mid to late nineties with the release of 'The Nostalgia EP'.

First up we are introduced to an adrenaline packed, 1995 style slice of euphoric breakbeat hardcore with 'Cry Little Sister', which incorporates rolling amens and 'In Complete Darkness' breaks, hands in the air pianos and iconic 'Lost Boys' soundtracks vocals to create a definitive future dancefloor anthem.

Bringing up the rear we have 'Get On Up', a 200 mph combination of thundering, hardcore kicks and breakbeats which are complimented by hi-octane piano melodies and cheese-free, female vocals which expertly meshes together uplifting trance and upfront hardcore elements.

Ecstatic diva vocals, soaring pianos and pounding kickdrums are the order of the day with 'Never Give Up', a track which opens to the sounds if contemporary, detuned synth leads and chopped-up amen break edits, before launching into full-on, 1992 era rave positivity.

Bringing the quartet to a frenetic close, 'Rockin Your Body' piles on lashings of gushing female vox, euphoric trance stabs, relentless 4/4 kicks and heavyweight, tearing breakbeats to ensure that all ravers in the place are on that dancefloor with a smile stamped on their face.

'The Nostalgia EP' sees DJ Revive ensure that upfront and uplifting, breakbeat hardcore is well and truly alive and ready to tear up any rave that it's played out at. An essential addition to the collection of any nuskool hardcore head!!!
