UK's gwEm is the solo project of Gareth Morris and it's definetely one of those remarkable acts to add to your life. Running already two decades of 8bit musical passion with hundreds of sets worldwide, gwEm has put out qualities through labels such as Astralwerks, Cheapbeats Tokyo, 8bitpeoples, micromusic, Shitkatapult but to name a few, and he never quits from his retro love. In his free time he goes out live via Twitch creating chiptunes via his Atari ST skills.
However, his latest release is just so amazing that none within the scene should sleep on that. Suffice to say that his dishes are '100% breakbeat hardcore' as he declares, representing an absolute ode to the oldskool rave days coming through his hardware beauties: Amiga 600, Protracker, modified Open Source Amiga sampler, Boss reverb unit, SPL Vitalizer and Mackie desk. Seven new tracks for a blue sky day popping a 'gwEmDMA' and off for a new summer of love.
His EP is out now, and available to donate/name your price. We did our bit though and show our support to one of the greatest digital rave caplets of the year.
