V.A. - Döner Beat 001 [4-track digital EP]

01 Humb - 4 Friends
02. DJ Ronald Reagan - Salisbury Cathedral's F__k Off Spire (Russian Tourism Board Edit)
03. Humb - Obligatory Stab Track
04. Humb - 4 Friends (Denham Audio and Humb Remix)

2020 the year of Covid19. So what?

A creative collective over Vietnam becomes one fist in order to create the right buzz and survive through this hard period. The name of this team is Döner Beat and they've recently launched as a label.
Their first release is a new digital weapon of four belters for a deep modern clubbing with the likes of various artists from the label and mainly..friends!

Kicking off with '4 Friends' by Humb, one of the founding members of Doner Beats, well-known of his action and releaes with Jigcore Sound, Long Live The Animals, UK Jungle, Bill Up Recordings (just to name a few). Humb strikes back with an unexpected track to hear from him, since he's been mostly into heavyweight styles. He's put the #DietJungle short description among his track on Soundcloud, which means apparently something lighter than anything else he did before. This track goes deep down to the mystic paths of a warehouse transferring himself and the listeners to the early days of bleeps and breakbeats..

The second track from this EP introducin us the man like DJ Ronald Reegan. The man who wants to make American ACID again. And yet his new track pays homage to the early Sheffield sounds with a very catchy groove in it, plus rave synths and acid bits. 'Obligatory Stab Track' is the second personal offering by Humb! An ode to the early days (again) of the Hardcore Techno sound, inspired by R&S you can tell. A fierce vibe that will keep your head buzzing till the quarantine is over...
Denham Audio from Sheffield, one of the most prolific acts the last years, have submitted the one and only remix of this release, giving their own twist on '4 Friends' with their unique rollin 808 direction, closing this incredible debut by the Doner gang.

PERA STA ORI - 2251 53X18-146 [Digital - CD - 7" Vinyl]

01. 1993 Body Move Edit
02. 600mg Lbprfn
03. Falimento Amore
04. Drosia Stala Charavgi (Converted)
05. Borborygmus

Pera Sta Ori (Greek word - translated like Beyond the Mountains) is one of those producers that have broaden their horizons the last couple of years and would have to get to your scope. On first hand, he can be described as IDM artist in a general term, in case you're wondering what is all about.
And now, the North Greek producer/sound designer, after a quality row of releases on labels like Yellow Machines and Numb Capsule (his own imprint) makes a big return during this very weird year we're running. George Kontogiannidis takes it back to square one of the oldskool rave under his modern techniques and skills, serving 5 fresh tracks.

His new work's coded title is still a riddle ('2251 53X18-146') however you can try and decipeher it through his brand new musical mindscape that you're kindly invited. And it's a trip of diversity.
From his 600 mg of Jungle dose ('600 Lbprfn') to the big pianos on Dark mode (e.g. '1993 Body Move Edit') to the experimental and leftfield bass inspired path of 'Drosia Stalia Charavgi (Coverted)' and the love spinning breakbeats of 'Falimento Amore'; probably the most euphoric track of this release.

This new EP comes out now digitally and on a limited edition of numbered mini CD including also sticker, A4 artwork signed by the artist, greetings card and the digitals as well.
Worth every penny and support to this upcoming producer, who's already sorted out his next step which will be unveiled soon, this time on Brighton's Further Electronix
