[WJS022] FOTH - Fire And Snow [Wicked Jungle Records 2-Track Single Available To Download Now!!!]

1/ Snow & Ice.

2/ Fire.

The inimitable King of eclectic samplage, FOTH (aka Fool On The Hill for those in the know) makes a welcome return to Wicked Jungle Records bringing with him a diverse, drum & bass duo, with the release of the 'Fire And Snow' single.

For the opening track 'Snow & Ice' were are plunged into lush jazz-step territory where FOTH expertly implements the use of "live" drum breaks paired with a contemplative double bass melody peppered with weather report samples to create a poignant piece of music with just a tinge of melancholia.

Going from the sublime to the farcical, 'Fire' borrows a choice selection of dialogue snippets from UK comedy's premiere basement dwelling, I.T. nerd (all hail Maurice Moss!!!) and scatters them over a relentless 2-step break and obnoxious bass blasts proving that D&B doesn't need to take itself too seriously.

For those who seek po-faced, neuro-funk seriousness or screw-face junglism, you best look elsewhere. However if you are after some precision crafted D&B with it's tongue pressed firmly in cheek, then the sound of the FOTH will most definitely tick all your boxes.

The FOTH 'Fire Andamp; Snow' single is available to download now, direct from the official Wicked Jungle Records Bandcamp store for the bargain price of $2, or more if you wish to support the label and artist to make more music!!!

[SSV4] Bay B Kane ‎– Spandangle Selection Volume 4 [4-Track 12" EP Available To Buy Now!!!]

A1 - Cupid.

A2 - The Limit (Captain's Log Mix).

B1 - Pussy (Raw Mix).

B2 - Needle To The Skin.

For those of you who seek nothing but the rarest and most elusive vintage junglism, then the Spandangle Selection label has a treat in store for you with their latest, 12" vinyl only release. Bay B Kane makes his welcome return with 'Spandangle Selection Volume 4' available to purchase now and featuring four rare and unreleased jungle classics from 1992-1994.

We are first introduced to the rare-as-hen's-teeth 'Cupid', a warped bassline and ragga jungle classic, originally destined to be released on the legendary, but short lived Kickman label back in '94. The first of three unreleased jungle/hardcore gems appears next with the deep and atmospheric, amen roller, 'The Limit (Captain's Log Mix)' pre-empting Kane's more atmospheric tracks from the infamous 'Survival Techniques Vol. 1' LP.

Roughneck ragga junglism is the order of the day next with 'Pussy (Raw Mix)' piling on the raw, heavyweight amen and bassline pressure that only the Bay B Kane could pull off back in the day. Last but most certainly not least 'Needle To The Skin' , a track due to appear on the scrapped 'Mystero EP Part 2' rewinds us right back to 1992 with it's hyper-kinetic blend of manic breaks and rapidfire hip-hop snippets to get your feet moving.

With this latest collection of Bay B Kane rarities, the Spandangle Selection label has pulled off yet another essential batch off oldskool jungle gold. Get on it pronto!!!!

The Bay B Kane 'Spandangle Selection Volume 4' EP is available to purchase now from the official Spandangle Selection webstore for £9.99 plus postage & packaging.
