The ever prolific Billy No Mates is back again with this great new EP forthcoming on HC Recordings. First we have 'Torn Up' a nice deep roller reminiscent of what LTJ Bukem would churn out in the mid 90s, a nice slice of skittish breakbeats accompanied by a swirling pad full of atmospheric goodness and upliftment gives this a distinct edge.
We move into 'Peaking In Tongues' a slightly tougher roller with a darker edge, a change up in drums and a nicely executed rumbly bassline to caress the tune. The track really does take you onto another type of level from 'Torn Up' thus giving the listener a deeper spectrum of the scene.
'Speed Of Dark' rounds off the EP nicely with another onslaught of broken breakbeats thrust at you in a shower of musical eargasm. Once again the skittish beats keep this bouncing along nicely with a great bassline, stab effects and the fast pace BPM's raise the level just when you are ready for more.
All in all a great EP which needs to be in your collection, it is released on 21st December so keep your eyes and ears peeled to HC Recordings for info on how you can buy this.

THIS IS NU-RAVE - LAUNCH (out of orbit) [16track Album - OUT NOW]
The idea came on late 2014 when one of the leading & established producers in the Nu-Rave scene the man like DJ Pursuit has decided to launch his own label aiming to push out the Nu-Rave and Nuskool Hardcore sounds!
And the name of it?...THIS IS NU-RAVE! A strictly CD format label with a limited number of copies!
So, after releasing a very limited number of his personal 'Wav Killed The Youtube Star EP' , (was originally & proudly released as digital format - Free Download @ Strictly Nuskool Blog) Chris has recently finished and revealed the first full length album of the label, including some of the hottest names in the Nuskool scene!
LAUNCH (out of orbit) is the name of the 16track unmixed album - compilation, which is out now on a limited number of CD copies, so make sure to grab your own copy as fast as you can here

HC Recordings are back again to tantalise your eardrums and get your feet moving, and this time they have recruited the junglistic talents of new signing, Billy No Mates for the brand new 'Until Morning EP' 4-tracker.
With the namesake track, 'Until Morning' opening up the EP in a deep jungle fashion and featuring eerie pan flutes on the intro, stepping breaks, a killer bassline and classic vocal samples. 'Until Morning' is a perfect blend of darkness and light and for the dancefloor and the mind. Up next is the contrastingly lush and ruffneck sounding 'No Choke' which evokes memories of 1993-1994, as if the combination of atmospheric and rudeboy production styles had never died. To close off the EP, 'Black Magic' takes us into a trip to the darkside with ominous synths, bone-chilling breaks, monstrous bass throbs and horror movie dialogue samples.
On 'The Count', Billy sends us on a more rave-tinged trip with the infamous 'Terminator' break, classic rave riffs and a massive dub horn section. Sample spotters will be in ecstasy discovering historic vocals as used by the likes of Skanna in here.
Heavily steeped in 1993-94 jungle and dark hardcore influences, and blended with current production techniques the 'Until Morning EP' is essential listening for all oldskool and nuskool hardcore junglists and is available from the following digital music stores below (and more)...
