The boys are back, putting hairs on the chest with an outstanding new material.
It's all about Aeon Four. Based in Turku of Finland, Matti and Heikki Sato-Hunsala is a duet mostly known off their release through Straight Up Breakbeat, the oldest Drum & Bass Finnish label. On a recent note, the mighty and very talented brothers from Finland have sealed the deal with Silent Force Recordings and their new 12" Vinyl record is about to land very soon...
"We heard about Silent Force via their releases with Redshift & Problem Child and also Acid Lab a while ago. We liked the label's approach to combine classic jungle sounds with modern techniques. That's what we were about too. We sent a demo to Mark (who runs Silent Force and Sonic Force) and he liked our sound. That's where the 'Soul Promise EP' developed" - Heikki Sato-Hunsala.
'The Soul Promise EP' comes out on a limited edition o 200 copies only and it's available to pre-order now. All in all, this one's strictly for the fans of atmospheric amen breaks, fans of the golden days of Reinforced and Moving Shadow. A top notch work of soulful (mostly) Drum & Bass and Jungle piece of sound. "We were very much inspired by Japanese enviromental music and also 90s ambient and electronic such as Future Sound Of London and Aphex Twin during the making of this EP. We also wanted to go vibe first and keep the music as soulful as possible. To create a somehow dreamy atmosphere withour forgetting the Hardcore junglism" recalls Heikki about the duet's inspiration of this new work.
