The second 12" EP by Exstatic Records

The second installment from Exstatic Records delivers another fast-paced and floor-focused selection, offering a snapshot of modern underground jungle with proper nods to the roots and more Bristol vibes that you'd ever expect.

Interlude's Rubix kicks things off with 'Bass Beat Bang' that is a track that lives up to its title. Pumping 303-style acid lines ride on top of punchy, no-nonsense breakbeats, forging a high-octane rave weapon that doesn’t let up. The raw energy here is undeniable.

Sierpinski follows with 'Dunce Twice,' continuing in the same high-pressure spirit. Trademark jungle stabs dart in and out of the mix, lending a frantic edge, while the chopped breaks keep the momentum relentless.

On the flip side, Boca’s 'Platform 2 (Let Freedom Ring)' is a dynamic vibe with a nostalgic but militant atmosphere - like a call to arms from the heart of a concrete jungle.

Closing things off is the Exstatic head honcho, Rudeboy Morris with 'Give Me The Weed', a track driven by classic ragga vocal samples and a sound system mentality. The bass hits heavy and deep. Banger!

All in all, the Exstatic Records continues to push forward-thinking hardcore jungle with a respect for foundation sounds. Their new installment is worth every single penny.

Billy Daniel Bunter pays tribute to Eamon Downes (Liquid) - RIP

The man like Billy Daniel Bunter shares an emotional video paying his own tribute to his longtime friend the late Eamon Downes - one half of Liquid, the rave act behind the iconic 'Sweet Harmony' and 'Liquid is Liquid'.

"This raw, unfiltered video is filled with anecdotes, rare memorabilia, stories of our early days together, the music we loved, and the mark Eamon left on all of us. From Saatchi & Saatchi naming an entire art gallery after ‘Sweet Harmony’, to comic books about our lives, and Eamon’s personal notes in my book - this is a celebration of a man who was a husband, a father, a brother, and a cultural icon.
Recorded the day after Bug Jam - my first UK set since his passing - this video comes from the heart. Please leave your comments, memories, and tributes below. This one’s for Bea, Stella, and everyone who loved Eamon." - Billy Daniel Bunter

'Human Nature' by Ely Muff

Marc Kushin, aka Ely Muff, returns after 15 years with a riotous 4-track EP of mangled breakcore and spiral tekno mayhem. A fixture of the UK’s noisy rave underground in the late ’90s and early ’00s, Kushin’s sound blends raw distortion with swagger and groove.

'Human Nature' features two remastered gems from his back catalogue2005’s pirate-radio stomper ‘Hold Tite The P, No Need For London’ and the snarling ‘Automatic Predator’ alongside two unreleased cuts from the same era: the title track and ‘Cycle Dirty’. All four are mastered by Ben Pest for maximum impact.

A filthy, fun, and long-overdue celebration of a true outsider rave icon.
