About Bass Scoops Radio

"Over the years i’ve amassed a range of music and keep adding to it. The ease of access and ways to directly support artists through Bandcamp and other sources is just wonderful. Bass Scoops Radio is way of sharing this with those that share similar tastes and also a way to collate my collection.
Though the genres included are far reaching I’m a big fan of what cool people (sic) today call Bass music. So expect a lot of jungle, dub, hardcore and sounds loosely termed “rave”. I also love the roots of the scene and recognise the forefathers and mothers of the scene. Alongside the above genres we’ll be dropping acid house, balearic , house and their evoultionary sounds into trip hop, dubstep, d&b, UK Garage and more. Alongside my selections i’ll be bringing in guest mixes from likeminded travellers to add to the radio vibe." - John Bass Scoops

'Jungle Technology' by Gremino

Helsinki son, Gremino has just released his brand new exquisite work, something that will definetely draw your attention if you're onto that D&B tip.

'Jungle Technology' is the name of his 11-track album, coming out on digital format and on a very limited number of CD copies.

As officially described, it's "a journey through tropical beaches and palm trees, aqua currents, technology, cyber networks, danger, vigilance and concrete, and all of this operated with smoothness."

Inspired quite a lot by oldskool hardcore, Detroit techno and heavyweight basslines, this album marks one of the best Nordic outings during this year among the relentless firing releases of Straight Up Breakbeat.
In overall all tracks are totally firing and deliver an unusual jungle style. For instance, take a listen to 'Coconut Water (jungle remix)' track, which is our personal highlight from there.

'Jungle Technology' is one for the Nuskool crew and it's worth every single penny if you run big speed of amen breaks and you're driven by a junglistic passion.

PREMIERE:: Lamediscos - Rave Supplies [SELF-RELEASE]

Our new premiere is something very big and will draw your attention instantly, courtesy of the man like Lamediscos (aka Santiago Zaraza) from Bogota, Colombia.
Lamediscos was created as a satiric statement of the Disc Jockey culture that works either way in English or Spanish. Influenced by the old-school origins of Hardcore and modern bass culture his aim is to expand the Breakbeat and Bass music frontier in Latin America, by enforcing the Dub and Hip-Hop heritage in electronic music with a Latin 'swing'.

In regards with his brand new 'Rave Supplies' digital EP, it's comprised of 4 tracks and is officially described as an ode to the vast spectrum of 90s dance music, waving from the early stage of Breakbeat House and Old Skool Hardcore to a modern view of Jungle Techno. Rusty drum samples, chest-hitting leads, woofers smashing sub-bass, and vocal motifs from back in the day House, Hip Hop, and Dub.
