8205 Recordings - Darkside Compilation 2014 [FREE DOWNLOAD]

It's Halloween time today and as lots of producers & labels give away some tracks or mixes of them in order to celebrate this eve, a friendly label like 8205 Recordings and Dev/Null (Blog to the Oldskool) have decided to give away something darker to the masses!
Darkside Compilation 2014 is the new offering from the label, available on free download (either you believe it or not) featuring 10 fresh mental, dark & amen killers and a bonus gem titled 'Light After Death', originally produced in 1993, by The Primal Project, (act formed by a well known jungle producer and two friends of him)
I could have been typing here lots of feedback for each tune of the Album (as am currently re-listening to all tunes for the second time in a row) but it might be useless as music talks on its own and inside us rather more than words do. Amazing release and props to all class producers involved and to 8205 Recordings & Blog To The Oldskool for the effort and the whole work so far of course!

Show your support and love to the... Darkside 'nuskool' Dream Team and spread these alive vibes anywhere you can!

BH034:: Ritch & Deller - Feel My Love (100me Remix) [out now on BAD HABIT MUZIK]

When a tune is featured on a world class magazine like DJ MAG then we can't write down more about it. DJ MAG (October 2014 edition) reviews this tune like "Supremely classy breakbeat from London-based producer, who takes Rich & Deller's soulful-led balearic house original and twists it up with an electro-style bassline and extra syncopated goodness" and rated it 8.0/10.

100me solo project of Alex Hilliar takes this house original track by Ritch & Deller and adds some sweets breaks as a result of success, exactly like the same way he did on Dani B 'Believers' (which is now on no.3 on Breaks Charts of TrackitDown).
Wonderful atmospheric work and worth sitting on top1 on TrackItDown's Breaks Charts at the moment..

You can grab your copy now from Trackitdown here

Check out the TOP3 at the moment on TrackItDown's Breaks Charts, which are all covered by Bad Habit.  https://www.trackitdown.net/top100.html

[SD05] SMD #5 (Three Track Limited Edition 12" Vinyl E.P.)

A - SMD#5 A.
AA1 - SMD#5 AA1.
AA2 - SMD#5 AA2.

After near 20 years of dormancy legendary hardcore rave DJ and producer Slipmatt has revitalised his SMD (Slipmatt Dubs) alias and label for it's final release including two oldskool dubplate mixes from 1996 and 1998, plus a brand new SMD/Slipmatt track for 2014. The SMD brand was famous for it's uplifting reworkings of classic oldskool anthems, done in Slipmatt's inimitable breakbeat hardcore style, and 'SMD#5' continues on with that same 'cheeky' theme.

The brand new for 2014 opening track, 'SMD#5 A1' adds understated breaks, pitched up James Brown hiccups and rave stabs alongside an iconic acid-breaks bassline to create a 'tweakin' hardcore acid monster of a tune.
Also featured is the 1998 previously only ever available on dubplate 'SMD#5 AA1', which features elements of the classic 'Dreamfinder' anthem from 1992 given a euphoric, stab and phat kick drum-driven breakbeat hardcore roller. To round things off 'SMD#5' AA2, AKA the 1996 dubplate remix of anthemic happy hardcore release 'SMD#1', combines the legendary '40 Miles' piano section with pounding kickdrums and hands-in-the-air rave stabs.

A positively perfect selection of previously unavailable dubplate mixes, plus a brand new track to bookend the very much loved SMD label. The 'SMD#5' vinyl release will be available in limited quantities only, and to add to the collectability, each vinyl will be personally signed by Slipmatt himself. So make sure you get your pre-orders in, as these will be sure to sell out fast.

The 'SMD#5' 12" vinyl is available from Slipmatt's World Of Rave website for the bargain price of £9.99 (plus postage and packaging). In addition to all this 12" goodness Slipmatt has 'SMD#5' t-shirt and hoodie bundles on offer too. Follow the link below for all order details...

"TOP 10 OF THE WEEK" by GL0WKiD's Generation X [RadioShow] @ Planet Rave Radio (21OCT.2014)

My latest radio show was about blending styles & genres with the key words like 'rave' and 'energy' connecting all listeners.Big Up to all once again for the kind feedback and the continuous support! So..Here's the 'TOP 10 of the Week' and tracks are put on a random selection, just to be fair with all producers cos the truth is that a section like this one is hard to be sorted out.
Starting with number 10 and DJ Wislov from Tenerife on an early 90s inspired oldschool breakbeat like 'Time To Play' (unreleased, fresh & first play on the show).
Number 9 goes to a class 'mutant raver' like Spaceface from UK and his new tune 'last Drop' on 'The Toxic Riddim EP' by Acme Bass Records, while number 8 is taken from Japanese producer Miyauchi and his happy roller featured on a wicked release like 'Speed Mania' compilation out from UP1236... Number 7 the established hardcore producer Nicky Allen continues his travels to the past and goes back to 1993 and a Reinforced classic by Nookie cooked on his well known 'breakbeat Allen hardcore stylee'.
One more human tune machine along with Nicky Allen, is Paul Cronin and as a dead prodigy fan he gives a BIG remix on the Prodigy's 'Narayan'. Weird to see a hcb remix on such a tune but works really impressive as a conclusion! Coming up next with number 5 and Casketkrasher from Netherlands, owner of an underground label like Total Destruction records promoting the sound of Happy Hardcore, Early Hardcore and his latest tune 'Break This Motherfucker' remixed by Dutch frenchcore/hardcore head, Maynor.
We return to Japan on number 4 and my friend sdhizumi who spits pure hardcore on his '90s legacy'. Banger!
Last tunes to mention come from 3 of my fav 'hardcore' producers nowadays, each one with his own music character. Number 3 is a trip to Odessa and AleX Tune 'Keep Yourself' as a part of his fresh 'Ultimate Style EP' out now from Dance Corps on free download..
Some weeks ago i got the chance (or luck maybe) to win one of the 5 limited digital copies of a VIP rework on Dave Skywalker's 'Pandora', made by himself. Skywalker can't be described enough as his work is really respected such as his solo projects and his personal NDR Recordings label. A true legend! Number 1 goes to a young [aged] producer/dj/label manager who has already succeed doing a great success over UK, Japan and so many other places delivering hardcore on a...JAKAZiD way. It's his own secret technique and simply blows minds and burns the dancefloors. 'Have 2 Survive' is a killer nu-breakbeat hardcore tune raved inside me first time i heard it like....BOOM!

"TOP 10 OF THE WEEK" by GL0WKiD's Generation X [RadioShow] @ Planet Rave Radio (14OCT.2014)

So.. The new radio season (2014-2015) has already started and from now on you can catch me up live on a new home like Planet Rave Radio(www.planet-rave.com) every Tuesday 5:30-7:30pm UK Time.

And...Back again to one of my loveliest sections of this Blog, the TOP 10 tunes of the GenX show for this week running as selected in a random row.
Starting with number 10 and Hull's Nu-Rave established producer/DJ Pursuit on his first personal EP, forthcoming release on KODE 5 Recordings, with a great piano breaks tune like ''In Heaven Baby''. On number 9, Tony Jungle (junglist.lt) tries a 1993 oldskool breakbeat vibe and does it really well as it seems as Fringe from Canada offering a new dark breakbeat roller on the 12th release of Switchblade Digital, which is out now to all major digital stores. Following with the number 7, and the Polish duet Dubsknit & PZG who have both collaborated to set up an amazing album titled 'We Rob Rave LP', which will be out on Intruz Clothing on a limited edition of 500 CDs only (Feeling grateful to the guys having a promo of this release!)
Ravevolver from France is a producer/dj since late 90s keepin alive that oldskool pure rave feeling on his tunes, from Techno to Hardcore Jungle. 'Let Da Rave Go On' is an impressive 140 Hardcore Breaks tune showing off his talent to the masses.
Number 5 takes us to Hungary and Kruppstahl, my 'soundtrack producer' for this week, as I was listening to his tunes these days and admired his outstanding work from his early project (Miskolic Sound System) till now. 'Mortal Kombat' is a total jungaal damage! Get into it!
The return of Paul Cronin on number 4 and a wicked forthcoming EP called 'Future EP' out from San Fransisco Nights Records. 'Future' is a common Cronin nu-rave bomb, such as all other 4 tracks of the EP keep on rollin like...hell!!
The very talented United Stated Beat Squad is sitting on Number 3 with his acid-warehouse influenced remix on Exit Point's 'Party Weekend'. Both tracks are available on free download on Exit Point's Soundcloud page.
Moving to Japan and Limited Toss who's celebrating the launch of 'Party Party LP' on Merry Works and a tune oldskool tekno based like 'For Rave Master' which is off the Album but is a stunning gem!!
Last tune featured on the 'TOP10 of this Week' is a true 'Odie' to every Hardcore nation! Schnez from UK delivers some monster stabs on a free download tune out from Long Live The Animals release 'Rat 2 The Old Skool EP Vol.3'

[SBV001] Abyss - The Ardcore Schwarzenegger E.P (SWITCHBLADE VINYL LIMITED EDITION VINYL RELASE - OUT NOW!!!)

A - The Butcher Of Bakersfield.
AA - Predator VIP.

The Future Jungle Blog's label of the year, Switchblade Digital has been on fire this year, with 12 consistently excellent releases under it's belt so far. Label owner, Abyss has now ventured the Switchblade brand into the physical realm with the very first release on sister label, Switchblade Vinyl, 'The Ardcore Schwarzenegger EP' by Abyss himself.

Featuring two cuts heavily inspired by a certain '80's action movie star and heavyweight, bass and breaks focussed, 1993-1994 jungle tracks.
Opening with 'The Butcher Of Bakersfield', a rolling, and heavily chopped amen number complimented by a classic '80's sci-fi film score and dialogue (the clue is in the title!).
It's companion track, 'Predator VIP' hides it's influences in plain sight and pairs a panicked string section with rapid-fire, chopped amen breaks, a monsterous growling bassline and even more iconic movie samples.

To sum it up 'The 'Ardcore Schwarzenegger EP' is an incredibly cinematic sounding, double A-Side release, which like it's inspiration, takes no prisoners.  It has been professionally mastered and cut by Curved Pressings, and is a strictly 200 limited run, 12" vinyl only release.
The 12" is available for £7.99 plus postage and packaging, and available to buy from the link below, so please show your support for 'The 'Ardcore Schwarzenegger EP' release, and here's to more Switchblade Vinyl 12" releases.
